Well, I miscalculated! One day left before the PDC Tour breaks up for Christmas. Still, I’m sure you all new that and were just testing me.

A good night last night, going 2-1, putting us at 16-13and in profit to the tune of +10.25 units. So, we’re going well tonight.

Apologies that this post isn’t the usual standard of the others, but I’m sure you’ve guessed that today caught me on the hop and I was almost caught short by this!

Welcome to the Second Round of the PDC 2012 World Championship! We’ve had a couple of shocks along the way, with Mark Webster being the firrst big casualty, then Raymond van Barneveld, but last night we had the shock of Andy Smith not even winning a leg and then Devon Petersen taking out the seeded Steve Brown.

Still, we’ve avoided the shocks, and we’re now 14-12 and we’re now in profit to the tune of +8.17 units. So, after a slow start we’ve picked things up, we’re in decent profit and we’ve got some nice spending money for Christmas. We’ve come to the end of the first week of the PDC World Championship and also the end of the first round action. Tonight’s games will signal the end of the line for 40 players and the chance of glory for 32 more. Gary Anderson was lucky not to be one of the 40 in his epic match against Jyhan Artut last night.

Looking at our tips last night, I feel hard done by, as we missed the highest checkout in the Lloyd/Young match by 1 point, and we lost out on our lowest checkout in the Anderson/Artut match by 2 points. Harsh, but them’s the breaks. So we went 1-2 last night, taking us to 11-12 and a profit of +1.64 units.

Two more nights of darts action and free darts betting tips before Christmas, so let’s get to the tips and some late spending money for Christmas.

In the words of the immortal song, “Oh, what a night!” So, so close to the perfect night for us, but Andy Hamilton came back from the brink to beat Antonio Alcinas! Still, we’re now 10-10 and we’re in the profit right before Christmas, which is perfect. We’re standing at a respectable +3.28 units, thanks to Kevin Painter and Mervyn King doing my confidence in them justice.

Another night of darts with an international flavour, as we have the obligatory Englishmen, an American, a Scot, a German, a Dutchman and a Serb – proof that this really has become the WORLD Championship. We start off with an England versus America match, so let’s get to it!

What a strange night of darts last night. We saw three whitewashes, and one of them was the five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld. Still, we went 2-1 last night, taking us to 8-9, and we’re now getting back on track at -2.22 units.

The second round is already shaping up to be an interesting group, and we’ve still got three nights of first round matches to go. We’ve got an international feel to things tonight, with a Spaniard and an Australian joining the English players tonight. So let’s get things underway.

PDC 2012 World Championship Day Four Tips

An exciting day of darts yesterday, with some fantastic matches, especially Steve Beaton beating Magnus Caris in an absolute classic. Perhaps only overshadowed by the wonderous spectacle of Burger versus Perez!

Not a great day for us, going 3-4, leaving us with a running total of -6.05 units, and 6-8. Still, we’re only three days into this tournament and we’ve got some great matches to come tonight, with a chance to get us back into the game early on.
