Scott Another month, another PDC tournament, and it’s the last one before the World Championships. At the Grand Slam of Darts, we ended up 24-18 with a profit of +12.17 units.

What can I say about last night’s action? I think it’s the first time I’ve broke even on a night of darts. Going 2-2 last night leave us 22-18 and with a profit of +8 units.
So, we’re in a decent position going into the last day of free tips for the Grand Slam of Darts. Because of the format, there will only be tips for the semi-finals, as the turnaround for the final of the Grand Slam of Darts isn’t possible.

I think I could just put in last night’s intro, as we went 2-2 again, taking us to 20-16, taking us to a profit of +8 units.

It’s been the usual fun tournament when you get the BDO boys together with the PDC boys, but the sad fact is that there’s only one of the BDO brethren left. A mixed day for us, with us being on both ends of a last leg decider. We got on the good side thanks to Ted Hankey and then we lost out with Dean Winstanley, even though he put in an unbelievable average, and had darts to win the match. And then Terry Jenkins drawing with Wayne Jones on the maximums summed up the average night.
Still, we’re into day seven at the Grand Slam of Darts and we’re 18-14 for the tournament and that leaves us on a profit of +6.84 units for the tournament. Not a bad way to enter the home straight of our free tips for the Grand Slam of Darts.
Some big matches tonight, which is what the Grand Slam is all about. So let’s get onto the tips.
Back on track with a bang last night. We went 4-0, to take us to 16-12. It takes us to a profit of +7.52 units for the Grand Slam of Darts free tips.
A great night, capped with a deserved win for Martin Phillips, and a great showing by Magnus Caris in defeat to Paul Nicholson.
We’re now into the knockout stages of the tournament, with four matches, featuring two BDO players, which is always good to see at the Grand Slam of Darts.
Well, we went 3-3 last night, taking us to 12-12 for the tournament, and a profit of +0.19 units.
So, while we had a good night, our stronger fancies just didn’t come off. Michael van Gerwen must be the one player we can never get on the right side of, while Dean Winstanley just seems to be the money man for us.
We’re into day five of our free Grand slam of Darts tips and we’ve had some great matches on show. The best news is that Ted Hankey is still alive and kicking in this tournament, which is only a good thing for us and for Ted and his family.
