Premier League Darts is back, and it’s perhaps the most controversial line-up to date. The fact there’s now six wildcards has ensured that not all the fans are going to be happy with the line-up. Out goes James Wade, and Andy Hamilton, two players many would argue deserve to be there, in come Dave Chisnall and Peter Wright and Wes Newton, Gary Anderson and Raymond van Barneveld all controversially keep their players, none more controversially than Gary Anderson. And we’ve got five fantastic matches lined up for tonight that are sure to get the juices flowing for the coming months.

The BDO World Championship comes to an end today, bringing to an end the World Championship season in darts. Either Stephen Bunting or Alan Norris will join Michael van Gerwen as the World Champion in the game of darts. Norris is a deserving finalist, knocking out defending champion Scott Waites 3-0 in Round One, and showing a lot of facets to his game along the way – scoring, finishing and a hell of a lot of bottle. Stephen Bunting has done what has been expected of the No.1 seed, and has easily taken care of everyone put in front of him, and he’s also the only man to average over 100 this week. All signs point to a Lakeside classic.
