Well, the first round of the 2013 BDO World Championship is finished, and it’s fair to say we’ve had a few shocked in the 16 matches. Not only have we lost defending champion Christian Kist, but Martin Adams has also fallen by the wayside, and there’s been other seeds going out, too. The second round start tonight, with four big matches. Scott Mitchell opens proceedings against Robbie Green. Then it’s a battle of the heavyweights when Darryl Fitton takes on Stephen Bunting. Alan Norris then faces Wesley Harms, and Steve Douglas closes out the evening against Tony O’Shea. So definitely some big matches.
Last night we saw Scott Waites ease past Willy van de Wiel, after Tony Eccles’ run at the title came to an abrupt end against Geert de Vos. In between all that, Ross Montgomery was knocked out by Paul Jennings. There was two great matches to begin, and then it was good to see a solid performance from Scott Waites.
With Willy van de Wiel unable to match Scott Waites on the 180s, the Free Darts Betting Tip is 2-1 after two days of the BDO World Championship, with a profit of +3.25 units.
