Grand Slam of Darts Day Six Premium Picks

Grand Slam of Darts Day Six Premium Picks Such a close night, with three of our picks losing 5-4. While I was disappointed with Paul Nicholson’s performance, I can’t complain about Gary Anderson and Tony O’Shea – both men played their hearts out and just came up short in two classics matches. A great night of darts both for punters and for fans. We saw two great games between players at the top of their games. Four men averaging over 100. And now only Scott Waites and Michael van Gerwen are standing. In the other matches, Dean Winstanley gave Arron Monk a bit of a lesson, while Kevin Painter overcame the odds to put Mervyn King in his place.

So that leaves us with four second round matches to go, and to say it’s not as stacked as last night would be an understatement. But we do have matches that have the potential to be close, so the excitement will still be there, but perhaps not the averages. We start off with John Part taking on Brendan Dolan – well done if you had that one in your tournament prediction, because I sure as hell didn’t. Then two future superstars of darts take to the oche, when Wesley Newton takes on the BDO World Champion, Chiristian Kist. Then we get the match that has the potential to be a classic – Andy Hamilton versus Gary Anderson. Then we finish off with an all-Dutch match-up with Raymond van Barneveld taking on Wesley Harms.

The free darts betting tip is now 2-4 after a great performance from Dean Winstanley. The Premium Picks had a perfect night and are now 25-18 with a profit of +19.8 units after six days of the Grand Slam of Darts.

Grand Slam of Darts 2012 Day Six Free Betting Tip

An agonising night for the Free Darts Betting Tip, with Tony O’Shea going down 5-4 to John Part in what was a fantastic game. O’Shea wasn’t the only one to lose 5-4, with Gary Anderson, Paul Nicholson and Christian Kist losing by the same scoreline to Adrian Lewis, Andy Hamilton and Mark Walsh respectively. Brendan Dolan won 5-0, which helped him into the second round. Wesley Harms, Wes Newton and Raymond van Barneveld all won 5-2, and all three men made it through to the second round.

Tonight we have the first lot of second round matches, and we start with the resurgent Dean Winstanley facing Arron Monk, then it’s old foes Mervyn King and Kevin Painter, followed by the most anticipated match of the tournament – Michael van Gerwen, the in-form player in the PDC, taking on the greatest player to have played the game, Phil Taylor. Then, to round the night off, Scott Waites looks to follow up his huge win over Phil Taylor against Robert Thornton. It’s a huge night of darts, and I can’t wait.

The free darts betting tip is now 1-4 after Tony O’Shea’s unreal defeat. The Premium Picks are now 21-18 with a profit of +9.9 units after five days of the Grand Slam of Darts.

Grand Slam of Darts 2012 Day Five Free Betting Tip

Well, I was hoping to write about how great a night of darts it was, but the story everyone has been going on about is Ted Hankey’s performance against Michael van Gerwen. The crowd was convinced he had one too many brandies before his match. I’ve heard he actually showed up to the Wolverhampton Civic Hall with a swollen eye, so don’t believe everything you hear a crowd chanting during a darts match. It’s just unfortunate no-one bar a select few seemed to know about Hankey’s problem before the match, so it cost us a bit.

A lot of action again tonight, with a lot still to play for. Well, unless you’re Adrian Lewis. He’s first on stage against Gary Anderson, then we get Brendan Dolan versus Barrie Bates, which I know you’re all looking forward to. Wesley Harms will be looking to repeat his 2012 BDO World Championship result over Martin Phillips, and then Raymond van Barneveld will look to get past Wayne Jones and ensure himself of a place in the second round. Then we have a winner-takes-all match between John Part and Tony O’Shea – it’s simple, winner stays, loser goes. Andy Hamilton and Paul Nicholson are next up, and both men can go through, even if Brendan Dolan wins 5-0. Wes Newton and Terry Jenkins are up next, and this one really depends on the Harms/Phillips score from earlier. Finally, it’s BDO World Champion Christian Kist taking on Mark Walsh, with Kist needing 1 leg to ensure he’s through.

The free darts betting tip is now 1-3 thanks to Ted’s eye. The Premium Picks had another winning night, thanks in no small part to Scott Waites. They’re now 18-14 with a profit of +13.68 units after four days of the Grand Slam of Darts.
