Welcome back to the Lawro Audit, where I’m going through the season auditing every single one of Mark Lawrenson’s predictions on the BBC Sport website. It might only seem like yesterday that we were laughing at Lawro’s terrible FA Cup predictions, but we’re back for the fourth round of the competition, and there are some tasty ties to get involved with over the weekend. But we start on Friday with Derby vs Leicester, and it’s no doubt a tie the Foxes are not looking forward to when you take into account their woeful league form. Elsewhere, Crystal Palace take on Manchester City, and England’s best cup side at the moment, Southampton, take on Arsenal. Lincoln and Sutton are flying the flag for non-league sides, but they have tricky home ties against high-flying Brighton and Leeds respectively. There are no doubt going to be some interesting stories coming out of this weekend’s FA Cup fixtures, as there always is, and I’m sure one of those stories will be Lawro’s incredible predictions.
Now, if you are an avid follower of the Lawro Audit, as I know you are, you will know the Lawro’s had a rollercoaster season so far, starting with a small profit, then making a huge loss, then somehow turning it back into a decent profit just before the FA Cup Third Round, before finally succumbing to the inevitable and going back to a loss. However, Lawro got THREE correct scores last weekend, including that 2-2 draw between Manchester City and Tottenham, which came in at 12/1, which is always a nice score. In fact, Lawro ended up making a profit last week of 20.75 units! So, of course Mark Lawrenson is back into profit for the season, and it’s to the tune of 18.61 units, an unbelievable feat at this point in the season for the Liverpool legend. Of course, being an FA Cup weekend, it means he’s going to loss it all, but never mind.

I’m a bit disappointed with Mark Lawrenson’s predictions for the FA Cup Fourth Round, I have to say. The only sort of shock he’s going for is for Fulham to beat Hull, and even the bookies have Fulham as favourites in that one. It’s a bit boring and it means he doesn’t believe in the magic of the FA Cup, which the BBC love to harp on about. I’ll be cheering on Lincoln and Sutton, even if Lawro isn’t!
