What a week it’s been. Not only did we have the FA Cup, but then we had some midweek English Premiership fixtures. It’s been a real glut of football for us, and no-one is complaining. Well, unless you’re a Swansea fan. Not only did the Swans lose to Oxford in the FA Cup on Sunday, they were then embarrassed by Sunderland at home on Wednesday. I think Swansea get the award for worst team of the week. To be fair, if Aston Villa hadn’t won midweek, it would have been them, as they were seriously awful against Wycombe in the FA Cup. Matched only by how bad Bolton were against Eastleigh.
Anyway, last week was an FA Cup special, which saw Lawro prdiction 32 games, as well as correct scores for all of them. But how did Lawro get on with his FA Cup predictions? Well, he managed to predict 12 correct results out of 31. I’m not even kidding. He managed to go under 50% for the weekend. How many correct scores did he predict? Well, Lawro predicted 2 correct results out of 31 last weekend. It’s pretty disappointing, if we’re being honest, as followers of the great man. Lawro isn’t counting his FA Cup predictions towards his season total, but we sure as hell as. Where does that put us in terms of profit and loss? Well, last week’s tips gave us a huge loss of -23.19 units which really dents out figures for the year. In fact, we now site with a loss of -41.41 units, and the only reason it’s not worse is because we actually had one game postponed, so we get out stake back from that. Come on, Lawro, is is that hard to predict some FA Cup matches? We really need to get some correct scores in the bag now to get us out of this huge hole that we find ourselves in after following Lawro’s tips.
It’s also worth pointing out that Lawro did do midweek predictions, but we only look at his weekend predictions, and those are the only ones that count towards his profit and loss here. That’s probably a good thing, as I’m sure he’s midweek predictions were utter garbage.
