Last week was a bit of a sickening week for fans of Leicester City. If they had managed to get a 2-2 draw against a team looking for a top four finish last season after having a man sent off, they would be happy. However, the goalposts have shifted this season, and there are a lot of aggrieved Leicester City supporters after last weekend. And can you blame them? A relatively soft sending off, and a very soft penalty put their English Premiership title bid in jeopardy. It didn’t help that Spurs went to Stoke and saw them off with real ease. Add in that Arsenal are still sniffing about, and these are going to be a stressful few weeks for fans of the Foxes, and an exciting few weeks for Spurs fans. On top of the excitement of the EPL, we’ve also got the FA Cup semi-finals this weekend, and it’s not exactly the all-star line up that many might have predicted, but both semi-finals are tough to predict, and it would take a brave man picking the winner of the FA Cup from Crystal Palace, Everton, Manchester United and Watford. That’s not going to stop Mark Lawrenson from trying of course, as that’s his reason for living, isn’t it, making predictions on all the weekend’s football matches.
Now, after a winning couple of weeks for the legendary Lawro, did he keep the run going last week and maybe even get a record-breaking week? Erm, no. In fact, he only managed to predict four winning results, and no correct scores. Suffice to say, it was a losing week for Lawro, and a pretty bad loss, too. Lawro managed to lose us -11.93 units thanks to his lousy predictions this week. So he’s lost all the profit and then some that we made last week, and it puts out loss back at ridiculous at a ridiculous level of -63.11 units Yeah, it’s not going to happen for us now, is it? Definitely not, if we’re being honest. Well, not unless he can cop 20 correct predictions for the rest of the season, and we all know that’s not going to happen, is it? Not even close!

While Lawro’s Saturday predictions aren’t exactly earth-shattering, his predictions for the Sunderland/Arsenal game and the Leicester/Swansea game are interesting, and it seems like he’s thinking that the title is Spurs’ to lose. Well, I can’t see Leicester dropping points against Swansea, but then I’m not in the same tipping league as the legend that is Mark Lawrenson, am I? In fact, I thought Leicester were great value last weekend, and where did that get me? The other interesting thing is that Lawro reckons we’ll be getting a Manchester United versus Watford FA Cup Final, which I would assume he’s predicting Manchester United will win. Again, I think it’s anyone’s cup to win, and the way Manchester United have been playing this season, I wouldn’t fancy them over Crystal Palace, Everton or Watford with any confidence.
