The final two Group B games in Euro 2016 kick off at 3pm EST on Monday, June 20th. Wales will take on Russia, while England take on Slovakia.
England, coming off late minute heart break of their own after the Russia game got to be on the other side of it last time out, with a 2-1 win over Wales. After James Vardy had equalized with a great poachers goal, Daniel Sturridge fired the ball home deep into injury time. That goal went a long way to seeing England qualify from Group B as they now lead the group and a draw will be enough for them here.
Slovakia meanwhile are in an interesting position. A loss would most likely cause them to be eliminated. Their win over Russia is big so they would also lean towards a draw. A draw would make them happy as while it doesn’t guarantee qualification, it’s a large step in the right direction and I’d be surprised if they didn’t qualify with a draw.

I’ve got to go with the draw on this one and it’s no surprise that the odds are fairly low for it.
The fact is – Englands worse enemy is England. Their game against Wales was a tale of two halves. In the first half we saw the atypical Roy Hodgson tactics which grind a game out. They’re defensive and they show no creativity whatsoever. It’s the possession game but it’s lacking that oomph. It’s a very dull controlling type of game.
In the second half we saw the different England – the one that focuses on individualism. It can be a beautiful thing to watch and it makes the games exciting. Unfortunately I just don’t think we’re going to see it here.
A draw suits England and they will grind out the game and get that result. Slovakia meanwhile will also most likely be happy with a draw. Also the good thing is that both teams know how to score and put on pressure. So if one team does break the deadlock and go up 1-0, you can expect the others to sit back and a very good chance for the opposition to score making it a 1-1 tie.
For sure both teams – especially England – have the quality to score and both have the potential to win this game but I just think we’re going to see a very quiet game here.

The one that really stands out for me here is Under 2.5 Goals. There’s not much value to be had usually with the Under 2.5 goals this tournament so far but I like it here.
I just can’t see this one going over 3 goals. If one team takes the lead and the other team pushes up – you either get 2-0 at which point they’ll just play it out or you’ll get 1-1 at which point both teams will be happy and not up for risking much.
Either way I’m backing Under 2.5 goals very confidently here.
