France managed to stop the curse of the European Championship hosts from affecting them in their first game. Now can they continue off their winning start against the group weaklings, Albania? They will play Albania on Wednesday, June 15th on the final game of the day.
France had an extremely dominant performance over Romania and deservedly won their game. There were probably quite a few pre-match jitters but France overall just looked quality from top to bottom, and there were a few standout stars for sure. While Payet is getting the headlines with his incredible goal and his performance, Paul Pogba also threw in an excellent and dangerous performance.
At a price of 18/1 to win the bookies aren’t expecting Albania to put up much of a change against France. They lost 1-0 to Switzerland but this is actually going to be a very interesting game. First – Albania have it all to play for so they’re going to be feisty and expect them to take risks. Although I’m not sure what they’re really capable of. However most importantly we will see a lot more physical performance from the Albanians.

I’d love to be able to back Albania here. I mean 18/1 are quite crazy odds for a team who defeated Portugal and drew twice with Denmark. They’ve proven that anything is possible.
So I’m of two minds here. I’ll tell you straight up that I think France are going to absolutely pound Albania. I think they put in a very solid performance against a tight Romania side and will go into this one bloodthirsty. Albania will be missing Lorik Cana which is a decent loss, and if they get physical then things could turn out fairly ugly out there.
However I also cannot ignore those odds. It’s the European Championships, and Albania are a team that have did well to get here and are generally deservedly in. Upsets happen and 18/1 is just too crazy a price.
So for this one I’m going to bet both sides of the game here. How you want to do it is up to you. If you bet $100 you may want to do $50/$50 each or do $75/$25 or even just do two bets of $100. Whatever you personally feel comfortable with. I’d personally go 75/25 or even 80/20 in that regard.
My first bet is going to be on Albania to win. I’m going to be taking them at that huge price because as I’ve said above – I think you’d be crazy not to.
However the other bet is going to be banking on a France dominant victory. There’s a lot of betting options you could take here. Over 2.5 goals for example is 1.80 odds which is damn good. Then France -2 is 2.62 odds. Or you could go right in the middle with France Over 2.5 goals at 2.20 odds.
I’m going to go with France -2 at the big price of 2.62 odds. I just can’t see Albania scoring in this one, and that makes France -2 the bet.

One player I really liked was Paul Pogba. He had two shots with one of them just being saved. Watching him I just really felt like he would score a goal. So I’m going to back him as anytime goalscorer in this expected rout.
