Group F leaders Hungary take on Portugal in the last round of fixtures at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon, while the referee will be Martin Atkinson of England. The match will take place on June 22.
Hungary come into this as the real surprise side of Euro 2016. They are top of Group F after beating Austria 2-0 in a great performance, and then they showed great grit and fighting spirit to come from 1-0 behind to get a draw against Iceland. They’re not had one individual star, their performances have been epitomised by great team spirit and character that has been missing from a lot of teams in this tournament. Hungary need at least a draw to finish in the top 2, and a win will guarantee them top spot and a cushy draw for the knockout stage.
Portugal have been the disappointment so far of Euro 2016. They come into the game on the back of two draws, a 1-1 draw against Iceland, and then a 0-0 draw with Austria. The reason for this? Well, Cristiano Ronaldo has drawn a blank so far, and missed a penalty against Austria. Portugal know a draw might not be enough, so they have to go all out and get the win here. Of course, that could even be enough for them to top the group, which is how crazy Group F has been. But to win, they’re going to need to take their chances, which they’ve been unable to do so far at this tournament.
Hungary have faced Portugal 10 times and have never won, while Portugal have won 7, with 3 draws. Portugal won their last meeting in 2009 3-0 during qualification for World Cup 2010. They’re actually on a run of 4 wins, so Hungary will have to go some to break that jinx.

Hungary vs Portugal Match Betting Tips:
There’s huge value to be had in having a small bet on Hungary to win purely because they’re shown enough that they are definitely not a 10/1 shot. It’s purely a value play, so have a smaller bet on this, but why wouldn’t you back the team topping Group F to beat a team that can’t score?
There’s no value to be had on Portugal, even on the handicap lines, as you just don’t know how they’re going to perform in front of goal. Sure, they’re going to have heaps of possession, but the Hungarian defence has been strong enough. So take the small value bet on Hungary.
Hungary vs Portugal Prop Bets:
It’s hard to find an angle here, because Portugal are all over the place right now. We could go for under 2.5, but then Ronaldo could run riot and bag a hat-trick just as much as he could miss every chance he gets.
Instead, we’re look at the corners market, and we’ll take over 10.5 corners, as Portugal are going to be going down the wings, Hungary will be doing what they can to keep them at bay, so we should see a lot of corner action.
