However, they then got things back on track with a great 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland, showing while they’re one of the best countries in the world. Belgium showed great confidence on the ball, attacking guile and a rock solid defence. Romelu Lukaku put on a real striker’s performance against Ireland, which is the first one we’ve really seen at Euro 2016. Belgium need a point to wrap up second place and hopefully get a better draw come the knockout stage.
