Both England vs Slovakia and Wales vs Russia in Group B will kick off on Monday June 20th, 2016 at 3pm EST. These are the final two games in the group and will kick off at the same time.
Wales come into this one on the back of some heart break. It looked like they had did just enough to draw with England and practically qualify for the knockout rounds. However a last minute goal by Daniel Sturridge sees Wales langushing in 2nd place. Their win over Slovakia will help them there though if they stay on the same points as Slovakia. They’ll also be hopeful that England do the business against Slovakia – and allow them qualification regardless.
Russia meanwhile despite two dismal performances are actually still in with a shout. That draw against England has saved them. A win here could see them go joint top of the group. Quite amazing when you think about that. However they’ve really got to pull their arse out – Russia have been absolutely dismal the last few games.

It’s a very interesting game with the bookies hesitant to label either team as favourites. Russia are slight favourites but not by much at all.
Being Scottish – I’m already getting flashbacks of being so close and seeing it all go tits up. wales are so close to getting through to the knockout stages it almost hurts – but there’s a large part of me expecting more heart break knowng how it’s been before.
But despite all that I’m going to take Wales to win.
Wales aren’t great, but they’ve showed a tremendous team spirit. Their defence has been solid in the games and Aaron Ramsay is playing his heart out. They also of course have Gareth Bale and if just a few of the other players play like Ramsay they could go far.
However for me a large part of this bet is the ineffectiveness of Russia. I’ve just been extremely disappointe dby the Russians so far and I expect to see Russia play much like England in the first half. In that one they were flat and Wales did a great job. Even if Russia do step up the tempo, I think it’s going to be hard as they don’t have the individual brilliance that the English players have.
So I’m going to take Wales to win
Wales vs Russia Prop Bets:
Really nothing standing out for me when it comes to the prop bets. You could go for additional value like Wales winning to nil if you want. I don’t know if Russia has what it takes to get by the tight Welsh defense and I think if they go down a goal early they’ll get frantic.
With Gareth Bale it may be worth betting Welsh winning margin at 2 or 2-0 to Wales because you have to expect if Russia push up he’ll be fantastic for the counter attack.
