The Formula 1 returns to action for the 2017 season on March 26th, with the Australian Grand Prix kicking things off.
It’s going to be a very interesting season. Red Bull have just released some pictures of their RB13 and they are aiming to be a challenger for Mercedes this season.
The bookies clearly feel Red Bull are in with a shout. They’re currently listed at 6/4 odds, 2nd favourites behind Mercedes for the Constructors Championship. Mercedes are at 4/6 odds as the decent favourites while the next one on the list is Ferrari at 9/1.
It’s going to be a very interesting season with Rosberg having retired. While we expect Mercedes to still dominate, there’s a lot of good stuff coming out of the Red Bull camp and their two drivers are better than Bottas so it could make a lot of races interesting.
It’s looking like it will be more of an aero formula than engine for 2017. That will favour Red Bull more of course but I think we’ve got to stick with the tried and tested Mercedes.
Here’s the entire Formula 1 2017 Schedule. Dates listed are race days not practise/qualifying.

F1 2017 Futures Betting Tips:
Like we said we think the Constructors Championship is going to be won by Mercedes. The odds for Red Bull are tempting but we can’t back them based on theory and guesses. We like the tried and tested Mercedes.
However where I feel the most value is, is on Lewis Hamilton to win the Drivers championship.
The weak point for Mercedes is Bottas. He isn’t even here based on merit. I mean he’s a good driver and all but he didn’t get the job because of his driving ability as much as he did because of the boss of Mercedes.
I went back and watched a lot of Bottas races last year in the Williams while thinking “What if Bottas was in the Mercedes” and I just wasn’t impressed with him. He’s an above average driver but I don’t think the new car will help him as much.
There’s also the possibility he will feel a lot of pressure and that will hinder Mercedes.
Therefore my bet for the F1 2017 season for futures is Hamilton to win the Drivers Championship.
Should be a good season. Can’t wait for it and regardless of our bets lets hope that Red Bull make it competitive.
