Another somewhat predictable night of darts, with Justin Pipe’s victory over Adrian Lewis the only real shock of the night. However, if you got on Pipe at around 5/2, you were laughing. There were also wins for Dave Chisnall, Michael van Gerwen and Andy Hamilton. All four men were comfortable winners, with Pipe and Van Gerwen winning 3-0, while Chisnall and Hamilton eased through 3-1.
Quarter-finals tonight, and the lowest ranked player still in contention is Gary Anderson. We have 6 of the world’s tpo 8 left in the running, and Justin Pipe is ranked 9th, so, all-in-all, it’s another PDC major that has gone msotly the way of the seeds. There now looks like there’s a gap building between the top 8 or 10 players and the rest of the PDC field.
