I’m shaking my damn head here as I’m actually deciding to provide betting tips for the UEFA Nations League.
It’s tough to see how teams will approach this or not. You have to wonder how many view it as just glorified friendlies regardless of the potential outcome in regard to the European Championships and how many teams will take it fully seriously.
I’ve thought a lot about it and I believe it’ll be a business as usual approach. Each game may not feel as crucial as say a European Championship or World Cup qualifier, but I’ve got to think the teams will take it seriously enough.
France for example have practically the same World Cup squad while Germany have made some changes but I mean that has to happen.
I must admit I’m starting to look forward to it. I’m so tired of friendlies so something like this is a neat little replacement and I hope we get all good games out of it.
So let’s treat it as a serious competition but also place small bets due to the risk. 0.5u plays all round.
UEFA Nation League Betting Tips:
The first one I am going with is a double of France or Draw and Norway to win for 2.14 odds.
I was almost tempted to go with France outright. Fact is they are the World Cup Winners and showed their quality. Yeah Germany have a lot to prove but didn’t they have that during the World Cup? And what happened to them? I don’t think they have rang in the changes needed and that could cost them.
Overall based on recent World Cup form we’ve got to back France or Draw here. If Germany bounce back so be it.
Norway are a team with a lot of optimism going into the second half of the year. They seem tob e rolling on all cylinders in their friendlies and had a strong finish in the group stages in the World Cup. That 6-0 thumping off Germany woke them up and I feel good that they take the win here.
It’s tight but I’m also going to go with Slovenia to win at 2.20 odds. Bulgaria are going to be rusty and not prepared for this one. Slovenia have had some struggles but they’re generally a good team to back at home. In the qualifiers they drew 0-0 with England, beat Slovakia 1-0, Malta 2-0, Lithuania 4-0, and drew with Scotland 2-2.
All impressive performances and I feel good backing them for a home victory here.
