It was nice to see the Toronto Raptors bounce back last night. It was a dominant 111-82 win for the Raptors who never let up the entire game. Vin took the Raptors -10 last night for a win.
Spurs vs Nuggets was quite the battle. The Spurs looked good through the first half but it was a big comeback from the Nuggets and much needed. Graeme won there with -7.
We both had differing opinions in the Thunder vs Blazers game and Vin came out on top as the Blazers got a big 114-94 win there.
Still a 2-0 night with our individual picks was nice.
It’s Wednesday, April 17th and we’ve got three game 2s. The Celtics host the Pacers, your next NBA Champions host the Pistons, and the Rockets host the Jazz.
Celtics vs Pacers Game 2 Betting Tips:
Vin: The first game of this series was very boring. An 84-74 score is just not going to interest me and this series could continue to go that way. The game was very tight until the third quarter when the Celtics outscored the Pacers 26-8.
Both of these teams play great defense while the offensive power of the Pacers without Victor Oladipo. That said, they’ve gotten good contributions from Bojan Bogdganovic, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner this year and I just can’t see another third quarter like the first game.
If this game is going to be low scoring again, seven points is monstrous. I expect the Pacers to play four quarters here this time and keep it close.

Graeme: It was a tight defensive battle in game 1 and a rather sloppy game by both sides offensively. Thing is the Pacers offense is generally what you’d expect from them – the Celtics offense were the ones that had the really bad night and they still took the win.

Bucks vs Pistons Game 2 Betting Tips:
Vin: This is the most lopsided series in the playoffs and without Blake Griffin, I just don’t see any hope for this Pistons team. They had the least depth with Blake and without him they just aren’t anywhere near the Bucks level.
The Bucks are great. They like each other and they have great chemistry, unlike the Warriors. This won’t be that game. This will be domination.

Graeme: Bucks had a massive game as expected. Honestly I think we see similar in Game 2 – Bucks will never let up. When it goes back to Detroit it may be a bit more interesting but Bucks are just out to make a statement. Rockets vs Jazz Game 2 Betting Tips:
Vin: Last season, the Jazz dropped the first game of the playoff series against the Rockets by 24 points and then came back to steal game two on the road. They lost game one of this series by 32 points and I am expecting a similar comeback here.
These were two of the best teams during the last half of the season and I’m just having trouble seeing them go out like this. While my Pacers pick is more about the spread, this pick is because I think the Jazz can even this series.

Graeme: I liked the Rockets for the series and Game 1 just added to that. Jazz looked like they had never seen James Harden before.
