Welcome to the Sports Betting Tips for April 22nd, 2015.
It’s Wednesday which means one thing – golf tips! Unfortunately this week we’re skipping the European Tour and Champions Tour. Those co-sanctioned Asian Tour events do our heads in. We may throw some bets down for fun but we sure as hell aren’t tipping them. The Champions Tour is all pairings which makes it fun as hell to watch – but not as fun to bet on.
We’ve got NHL Playoffs tonight and NBA Playoffs. Are you excited for 2 months from now when there’s practically no sports on? Yeah us neither.
Let’s get to it:
Golf Betting Tips:
Let’s start with the PGA Betting Tips for the Zurich Classic 2015.
This tournament takes place in Louisiana and has a rich history going back to 1938.
We’ve got two risky bets for you – these two will most likely not cash, so you’re best to go with a quarter unit at MOST on these. Hey it’s the way we roll sometimes – when you see the odds, you’ll see why.
First up is Lucas Glover 100/1 E/W. Glover is coming into this on the back of some great form at the RBC Heritage. On top of that he’s had a great history here including 4th just 2 years ago. Glover might just surprise us, and that’s why we’ll be having a small bet on him.
We’re also going with the 90/1 E/W Troy Merritt. Merritt had a good result here 5 years ago, coming in third place. He’s also shown a bit of good golf lately – with a Top 5 finish in last weeks tournament, the RBC Heritage. We’re hoping he can continue that form, and he’s another quarter unit bet.
Finally in the LPGA Swinging Skirts Classic we’re going with Lydia Ko to win. She won here last year, and comes into this as only 2nd favourite due to her form last time out. She’s taken some time off, and we’re hoping will be back to her usual domination.
And in our 3rd 1/4 unit bet of the day, take Jenny Shin E/W. Shin has been average this season, but on a course where consistency is the key – she could do that and do the business. She had a good time out here last year, and we’re hoping for more of the same.
NHL Playoff Betting Tips:
We’re going to go with the Ottawa Senators to win tonight in our only bet of the night. The Montreal Canadiens have been better – but we’ve seen the Senators before. Backs against the wall, they managed to make the playoffs and we think they have what it takes here. We wouldn’t be surprised if they even manage to win the next game as well.
NBA Playoff Betting Tips:
How about the Toronto Craptors? Yikes. Very disappointing.
The LA Clippers won the first game, and we expect more of the same from them tonight. Only -1.5 considering that domination? Yeah sorry not happening. Clippers will start fast like they did in Game 1, and dominate this one.
We also like a closer performance from the Nets, and will take Nets +10 tonight.
