Welcome to the free sports betting tips for April 24th 2016.
I know you come to Sports Betting Tips on a Monday and I do a recap of everything that happened in the sporting world, you know, just in case you went missing over the weekend and had no access to the world and my two paragraphs got you up to speed with everything that happened, but there’s only one thing I want to write about in my opening today: Leicester City. You’re probably bored of me going on about them between Monday’s and the Lawro Audit, but you know what, this really is the biggest sporting story in the world right now, and potentially the biggest shock of all time. Buster Douglas has nothing on the Foxes.
Now, the EPL title isn’t sewn up yet, but Leicester City took a huge step closed to it by thumping Swansea at the King Power Stadium, and if Tottenham drop points against West Brom tonight, the champagne might be flowing a bit early. In fact, is West Brom were somehow able to beat Spurs tonight, Leicester would need just one win to wrap up the EPL title, or two draws, whatever. It’s not going to be easy, of course, as they Manchester United and Chelsea away, and Everton at home in between the away fixtures. Spurs have West Brom tonight, Chelsea and Newcastle away, and Southampton at home to contend with, so a marginally easier-run in for the men from London. But the momentum is with Leicester, and I honestly would love it if they won it. They’re already wrapped up a top-two finish, so let’s hope they cap the season off by finish the top team in England. Sorry, Spurs fans, but this fairy-tale season needs a fairy-tale ending.

NBA Betting Tips
Oklahoma City Thunder -14 is, again, the obvious pick here. They should wrap up the series in style tonight, as their 1 point loss three games ago was just a weird anomaly, and they’ve smashed the Mavericks in Dallas, so why not do the same at home to send their fans home happy? There’s not been one thing that’s gone right for Dallas, and they’re going to be playing with far less confident that Oklahoma, so look for the Thunder to win convincingly tonight.
Under 207 points Clippers @ Blazers is the other selection. The regular season might have seen a points-fest in Portland, but there’s nothing in this series so far that would suggest we’re going to see a high-scoring game here. In fact, the three games so far have an average of 192.33 points, so this 207 could look a long way off. Both sides are at full-strength and have focused a lot on their defence in the other games, and with the series so tight, that’s not going to change.
NHL Betting Tips
Over 5 goals Chicago @ St Louis is our pick here. The series started off slowly, with the last three games have seen things open up with 7, 7 then 9 goals, and that was after Games 2 and Game 3 had 5 goals apiece, so the series has been warming up nicely, and with both sides eager to win, they’re going to be all out here to win it.
English Premiership Betting Tip
I said last week that Spurs’ game at Stoke was a must win game, which it was, and they did, and their game at West Brom tonight is, yet again, another must win game. There’s a huge gulf in class here, and Spurs last 3 wins have been by 3 goals or more, while West Brom haven’t won in 5 games. But West Brom are a tight defensive side, and although I can’t see them causing Spurs a full 90 minutes of problems, they might keep them at bay for the first half, before they eventually capitulate. Spurs also tend to do a lot of their work in the second half, as their 3-0 win over Manchester United proves, and even their win over Stoke, where 3 of the 4 goals came in the second half. So take Draw H/T – Spurs F/T as a bit of value here, and just hope that West Brom don’t come out of the gates sleeping – if they can weather the first 5 minutes, they might just prove tricky for Spurs to get the better of in the first 45 minutes.
