Had some fun tipping and betting on the English Championship the past couple of weeks so let’s keep at that.
It’s funny how that works – I’ll focus on a league for a little while and suddenly I am hooked and intrigued by it and paying attention to all the games.
Teams I didn’t give a toss about before now I am completely invested in them.
There are just two games left prior to the playoffs for most teams. Norwich are pretty much through automatically and will be pushing to win the Championship. Leeds are still battling Sheff Utd for that automatic promotion.
Derby, Boro and Bristol City are fighting for that last spot for the playoffs with Sheffield Wednesday and I guess Swansea not mathematically out yet.
Down at the other end, it’s between Rotherham and Millwall for who gets relegated.
Let’s get to it:
Millwall vs Stoke Betting Tips:
It’s a big game for Millwall. They are just above Rotherham in the league. They’ll be happy to know that Rotherham play West Brom away and so are in for a world of pain most likely.
Based on that, a point might just be enough for Millwall to enjoy another season of Championship Football.
Millwall will be missing Ben Thompson however. The key midfielder got injured against Brentford last week. They also may miss Shaun Hutchinson although I believe he will play. They also have that game in hand over Rotherham which will help.
Millwall have a bad historical record against Stoke but I think they have what it takes to get a draw here and will be happy with the point. Stoke are playing out the season and are draw specialists with 12 draws in 22 games away. They’ll be happy to come away with a point too.

Middlesbrough vs Reading Betting Tips:
This is one of those “if the team doesn’t win they don’t deserve to get promoted” bets.
Boro are playing lowly reading. Reading are safe from relegation barely while Middlesbrough are chasing Derby who have a game in hand.
Boro got thumped 3-0 off Forest recently while Reading have did what they needed to do.
Boro have to be very motivated and even though they are missing quite a few players due to injury such as Daniel Ayala, Dael Fry and George Friend, I think they have what it takes here.
With all the defensive injuries they need to rely on their offense. To be honest that’s a concern considering defense is what got them here to begin with. I’ve got to think Boro are able to do it though.
The injuries and that Forest result have really impacted my unit wager though. I’d normally do 5u for something like this one but we’ll go with just 2u. As you never know maybe they crack under the pressure.
