A 1-1 record last night.
At the beginning, it looked like the Cardinals and Nationals game would go just as I expected. Michael Wacha really struggled with his control in the second and even walked the opposing pitcher to score a run. The Nats had a 3-0 lead after that rough second inning and it looked like they might cruise. Then Wacha figured it out and in the sixth inning, Patrick Corbin blew up and gave up six runs.
The Brewers and Rockies game went right as we thought though. Jesus Aguilar provided all the runs needed with two homeruns and four RBIs in the game. Zach Davies did just enough and the Brewers cruised to the victory.
A full schedule today with every team in action. Unfortunately, just one game that the Bet MLB System likes. Let’s get to it and finish the month on a high note.
Colorado Rockies vs. Milwaukee Brewers Betting Tips:
I am a big fan of German Marquez and really expecting some good things out of him this season. He’s posted a 2.54 ERA/3.48 FIP. That number is a bit skewed by his home starts as he has a 0.41 ERA in his road starts this season. The Brewers are a great offense and especially dangerous at home, but it feels like Marquez could shut them down here. They have a high strikeout rate and he can take advantage of that.
The Rockies offense always give me pause, but Jhoulys Chacin is a nice match-up for them. He’s been really bad early this season with a 6.35 ERA/6.16 FIP. I just think the pitching match-up is hugely skewed here and think the Rockies are a nice bet today.
