Not a bad day on Good Friday, as the sharks got the business done for us, and Everton and Southampton played out a boring game, as expected. Howver, where did QPR find 4 goals against West Brom from? Shocking! Charlotte also seemed to be suffering the same issues as West Brom, as we didn’t get anywhere near the points expected. However, the Lakers didn’t disappoint and they still sucked hard against the Blazers, with Portland easing to a big win.
Tonight, we have the usual fare, and we’ve also got tips for Sunday’s English Premiership football, as well as the big game in the Scottish Championship between Rangers and Hearts.
English Premiership Betting Tips for 5th April
As always, we’ll get Sunday’s Premiership tips out of the way so you can get involved as soon as possible.
Burnley vs Tottenham
Burnley are a side that have got everyone scared at the moment, with a huge win over Manchester City, and they’re just playing without fear. Tottenham, well, it’s the Harry Kane show, isn’t it? It’s hard to actually pick a winner here, as Spurs are great on their day, as are Burnley, and the prices reflect that. However, we think there’s going to be a lot of goals in this game. Last time they met at Turf Moor, it was 4-2 in favour of Burnley. With the way they’re both playing, 6 goals isn’t out of the question. Get on Over 2.5 goals, as we think it’s going to be a high-scoring classic.
Sunderland vs Newcastle
One of the biggest derbies in English football, the Tyne & Wear Derby is huge. Sunderland, well, what can be said about them? They’re been dire, they’re not entertaining to watch, and the fact is that they look like they could lose every time they step out onto the pitch. Has Advocaat solved the problems? Well, he’s not been able to buy in 11 new players, so no. That’s not to say Newcastle are a fantastic side, but they have been playing well at times, and even though they’re inconsistent, they should have enough to get past Sunderland, simply because the Black Cats are so poor. Newcastle to win the last Tyne & Wear Derby of the season is a solid bet, full of value.
Scottish Championship Betting Tip for 5th April
Off to Scotland now, and another early Sunday kick-off, so remember to get on early.
Rangers vs Hearts
Long story short here – Hearts have the league title wrapped up. They’re the first side in Britain to win their league, and they’ve done it convincingly. They were 4/1 to win the league at the start of the season, and now, with hindsight, it’s the greatest value bet of 2014, as they never once looked in danger. However, they’ve won the league, there’s nothing for them to play for apart from pride. Plus, Rangers have EVERYTHING to play for, including pride. What’s important here, though, is that Hibs lost today, so if Rangers win here, there’s daylight between them and Hibs in third. Can we see Hibs’ fierce rivals helping out? We’re not suggesting Hearts are going to lay down, but it might benefit everyone if the tackles aren’t as crunching as they were earlier in the season. Rangers to win is the sensible bet here, as only one side has anything to gain. Plus, there’s going to be a lot of men in blue playing for their shirts. 2/1 is a HUGE price for the Gers here.
NBA Betting Tips for 4th April
New Orleans vs Portland
The Pelicans can’t win in Portland. That’s what this match-up is all about. They’re lost the last seven in Portland. but they’ve won four in a row coming into this, and are looking good. But Portland clinched the Northwest Division, beating the Lakers last night, and they’re going to be confident tonight. While we like the Pelicans’ form, Portland are able to pull big wins out of the bag. The line is favouring Portland by 5, and we think that’s more than doable, especially given how well they scored against the Lakes. Portland -5 is what we’re going for.
NHL Betting Tips for 4th April
Toronto vs Boston
The Bruins are riding high at the moment, they’re winning, albeit it coming from behind, and now they get to face the Leafs, who are terrible. Boston have got some big wins over Detroit and Dallas recently, so Toronto shouldn’t pose any problems, especially in Boston. Bruins -1.5 is our play in this match.
