We had a great day yesterday, going 3-0 with the sports betting tips.
We had two bets in the Manchester City vs Liverpool match. We took advantage of the special promotion on offer at Bet365 which meant we would have to place a bet pre-match, and then we had to place a bet during the match, or “in-play” as they like to call it.
We went with Over 2.5 goals as the pre-match bet, for 3/5 odds. Then we went with Over 3.5 goals during the match for 6/4 odds – assuming you bet as the match started. If you waited a little bit you probably would have got higher – but never good running the risk of an early goal in matches like these.
So we won both of those, and then we won the bet with Real Madrid vs Cordoba by the skin of our teeth. We had a big one there with Cordoba +3 and Real Madrid won by 2 goals as they won 2-0. One more and we would have been screwed there. Yikes.
Today we’ve got a UEFA Champions League Betting Tip, as well as 2 Golf Betting Tips in the Deutsche Bank Championship.

UEFA Champions League Betting Tips: Celtic vs NK Maribor
Celtic, who lost at the weekend against Inverness Caley, come into this one with the away goal. They drew 1-1 and now play in front of their home fans.
The loss against Caley was a bad one, but they were playing with so many reserve players. This will be their first team out here against NK Maribor, and you know they’re going to be dominating this game.
It’s at Celtic Park, where Celtic always do well with the fans backing them. They’ve taken some big scalps here, and they should be able to beat NK Maribor who are priced at 5/1.
Celtic to win is 8/15 which we’re not fans of. We think Celtic will dominate this game from the beginning and get an early goal to take the pressure off. They’ll push for corners where they are specialists.
So we are going to go with a Half Time/Full Time bet on this one.
Golf Betting Tips: Deutsche Bank Championship Top 10 Finish
The Deutsche Bank Championship starts in 3 days, and we are going to be doing two bets for it. Both are what I consider playing it safe bets when it comes to golf, which is betting on a Top 10 finish.
The first thing we want to do is look at the most on-form golfers and who are predicted to actually finish in the top 10. I like to pick one of them, then go with an outsider.
For example the current Top 10 based on betting odds:
- Rory McIlroy 4/11
- Adam Scott 10/11
- Henrik Stenson 11/8
- Jason Day 11/8
- Rickie Fowler 13/8
- Matt Kuchar 13/8
- Hunter Mahan 2/1
- Jim Furyk 2/1
- Phil Mickelson 9/4
- Jordan Spieth 5/2
McIlroy will most likely be a Top 10 finisher, with no surprise him as the favourite to win but at those odds we can’t bet him.
We’re going to go with Phil Mickelson for the Top 10 finish. He’s going into this one with no pressure – he’s already downplaying his abilities here and I think he will basically zone out, and with the lack of pressure squeak into the Top 10.
We also believe looking at the long shots that Kevin Stadler is a good bet for a Top 10 finish. 9/1 odds on Stadler and he works well with this course – it will be tight and will come down to 1-2 points, but we believe he can make it.
