Yesterday in the Capital One Cup, we had a losing bet as we tipped Aston Villa to beat Leyton Orient. Even in hindsight with the result, at 4/6 odds we still feel good about tipping that one. It just wasn’t to be.
We bet Draw-Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League qualifer between Arsenal and Besiktas, but unfortunately Arsenal scored in injury time in half time and kept the game tight to win it. Oh well – again a bet at 13/5 odds where you feel good about it.
Our lone win of the day was Athletic Bilboa to beat Napoli within 90 minutes. They did just that, hammering the Italians 3-1 in a nice easy win – although it wasn’t looking like that way for awhile.
So 1-2, Bilboa was 13/10 odds so not the worst price.
Today is August 28th, 2014 and with UFC upcoming we’ll have a couple of tips on that tomorrow and Saturday, but right now we’re going to be doing UEFA Europa League Betting Tips:
UEFA Europa League Tips Betting Tips: Feyenoord vs Zorya
Not the best price on Feyenoord but we’re going to take them to get a big win over Zorya anyway.
Zorya are a solid team from Ukraine and they did well in the first leg, but we just feel the dutch are too strong for them. Especially at home, Feyenoord should excel here and comfortable get the win over the Ukranians.
You could bet Feyenoord handicap or Feyenoord-Feyenoord for Half Time-Full Time but we’re going to stick with just Feyenoord to win.
UEFA Europa League Betting Tips: Rio Ave vs Elfsborg
The first leg saw Elfsborg win 2-1 at home, but we like Rio Ave to snatch a surprise win here.
Rio Ave showed a lot against Elfsborg but are going into this one as the underdogs almost – 5/6 price on them.
We think they will get the win. It’ll be a tight game and Under 2.5 goals also appealing but let’s go with Rio Ave for the win.
UEFA Europa League Betting Tips: Hull vs Lokeren
Hull are unlucky to be going into this game 1-0 down.
They played fairly well in the first leg. They were playing for the draw and almost got it. Unfortunately for them they had a big goalkeeper mistake by Allan McGregor and that cost them.
Lokeren are good, but Hull are the better team and with the deficit should get the win here.
The odds are short at 11/20 but we’re not as comfortable with Hull-Hull although it IS tempting.
We do think Hull will start early and go for the early goal, but we’re not sure just how well they will do with that – they don’t have a lot of goalscoring power.
So even though the odds aren’t great let’s go with Hull to win. Surely McGregor can keep a clean sheet here which is all we want.
