The sports calendar is changing fast as tonight we have a full slate of NFL preseason games, a full slate of college football, WNBA, and a full slate of MLB. We are getting to that point of the year when it’s hard to watch it all and that should be considered nothing but a good thing. More sports on means more chances to make money.

MLB Betting Tips:
Pittsburgh Pirates at Colorado Rockies: This pick is all about Chi Chi Gonzalez, he’s bad. He has a 5.91 ERA/6.47 FIP on the year and he’s pitching in Coors Field, a hitter’s haven. The Pirates offense is slightly above average against righties and he should have a rough night tonight.
College Football Betting Tips:
UCLA at Cincinnati: Year two of Chip Kelly at UCLA begins tonight and I am expecting some much better results. He’s had a year to recruit and his quarterback, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, has had time to improve. He’s the perfect Kelly QB with a big arm and able to run, I think he’s going to have a great season. He gets a bonus in this match-up as the Bearcats will be without star safety James Wiggins which should only help this high-powered offense.
Cincinnati should try to pound the run game, but I think their offensive line is rather inexperienced and the UCLA defense is athletic.
Georgia Tech at Clemson: Clemson is the defending champions and while they are different than last year, they are still a very elite team in college football and I would not be surprised to see them back in mix come January. They are bringing back RB Travis Etienne and QB Trevor Lawrence, as well as receivers Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross. That is quite the core to bring back and they should be a very dangerous team this year.
This one has a huge line, but it is well deserved. They are just a better team in every way and this home crowd should be on fire for them tonight. It might not be fun to watch, but it will be fun to win money on this one.
NFL Preseason Betting Tips:
Miami Dolphins at New Orleans Saints: We’ve made it to the fourth preseason game and this is the final rehearsal for the regular season. The Saints are a team that has a lot of depth and they should be returning to the playoffs again this season. They face the Dolphins who are firmly in rebuilding mode here.
The Dolphins have announced that Jake Rudock will be getting most of the playing time here and that definitely favors the Saints. He was on the practice squad with the Lions last year which should tell you all you need to know about his talent level.
