A 2-1 record?
Last night was a nice one as the Reds dominated the Mets 6-1 and the Pirates dominated the Rockies 10-2.
The Athletics game is still going on as I write this, but they were down in the sixth the last I checked.
We’ve got two early games and two night games today so let’s get right into it.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Colorado Rockies Betting Tips:
Yesterday was nice as I saw what I thought I would out of both of these teams. So I am going back to the well here and going with the Pirates again here.
Chris Archer got roughed up in his first start for the Pirates, but he’s had some time to adjust and get to know the coaches, catchers and everything else. I think he does much better here and it doesn’t hurt that the Rockies offense has been so weak against righties this season.
He’ll go up against German Marquez and while he’s been a decent piece this season, his home starts have been far rougher for him. In 55 innings at home this year the opposing team is hitting .303/.380/.533 against him. Pretty easy to like the Pirates here again.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Tips:
This line is a bit higher than I would like, but I really like Arizona here. Their offense has been going great of late and I think Vince Velasquez could be hit here. He’s been worse in his road starts this year and Arizona is a tough place to play.
What I really love here though is Patrick Corbin. He has a 3.31 ERA/2.55 FIP on the season and is going against an offense with just an 87 wRC+ against lefties on the season. I would lay the runs here, but there is just enough chance of a good Velasquez start keeping it close. Either way, I really like Arizona here.

Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals Betting Tips:
This one, I don’t get. Tommy Milone has looked good in his first two starts, but he’s not a good pitcher. He has a career 4.35 ERA/4.46 FIP on the year with projection systems showing him to be much higher. He faces a Braves offense that is awesome against lefties with a 110 wRC+ on the year. Atlanta is looking good here.
Mike Foltynewicz is having a nice season with a 3.04 ERA/3.57 FIP and 10.5 K/9. The Nationals have hit the ball well of late, but I think they should have some problems with Folty here.

Minnesota Twins vs. Cleveland Indians Betting Tips:
We end today’s tips with my favorite over of the day. I always am a fan of teams hitting Jake Odorizzi and the Indians are cut out for doing just that. He’s a flyball pitcher with a 4.60 ERA/4.51 FIP and 1.4 HR/9. I think the Indians take him deep here and possibly multiple times.
Mike Clevinger has allowed 2 or more runs in his last seven starts and I see that trend continuing here. The Twins offense is pretty middle of the road, but I always like this stadium for run scoring and love this match-up for the over.
