Dallas Cowboys vs Minnesota Vikings Betting Tips

One week ago these two teams were two of the six teams who played on Thanksgiving and their games ended with very, very different results.

For the Minnesota Vikings, it was disappointment. A last minute field goal by the Detroit Lions cost them the game and they fall to 6-5 and second place in the NFC North. They’ve now lost five out of their past six games and are in real danger of missing the playoffs this year after starting the season 5-0. This is a big game for them and luckily for them they will have the home crowd behind them in this one.

The Cowboys grabbed the win in their game, but it wasn’t without drama. The Redskins made a late run in that one that stopped the Cowboys from covering the -5.5 spread as Dallas won by a slim 31-26 score. They looked great until that run though and they got the win which is all that really matters. Dallas is now 10-1 on the season and are looking like the team to beat in the NFC.

Could this be a trap game for Dallas? They do play the New York Giants next week, who are 8-3 and the only team that could possibly steal the division from them, and the Vikings don’t look tough coming into this game. You know that the Vikings will be motivated to win this one with their season possibly on the line, but that might not matter if they just aren’t a very good offensive team.

NFL Betting Tips:

One thing that we don’t have to worry about is rest. Usually with these Thursday games you’re looking at a couple of teams that just played four days ago, but this is the rare occasion where both teams played on the previous Thursday. That feels like something that benefits the Cowboys as a lack of rest would be one of the things that Minnesota needs to go in their favor to steal this.

The key to this game will be Dallas’s rushing attack. They are one of the very best teams in the league in running the ball, averaging a huge 157 yards per game on the ground. Minnesota’s defense has been very good this year, but they are allowing 100 yards a game on the ground. They’ve shut down the pass well, but rushing has been their achilles heel and the Cowboys should be able to exploit it in this one. If the Cowboys are able to do their thing on the ground, Minnesota shouldn’t have much of a chance in this one. Dallas -3 is the play.

NBA Betting Tips:

If you saw the game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night, you truly saw something special. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a huge game where he went right at Lebron James and got the best of him at times. It was a special game that felt like he (and his team) made a huge step forward. Time will tell if that’s true, but for now we’re going with the Bucks -4 over Brooklyn tonight. You don’t have a game like that and follow it up with a bad performance against a terrible team. That adrenaline should carry them.
