NBA betting tips for December 11th, 2023.

4-3 last time on Patreon.

W Magic -10.5
W Wolves -5.5
L Thunder -3
W Clippers -7.5
L Mikal Bridges Over 35.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists
W De’Anthony Melton Over 20.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists
L Nikola Jokic Over 52.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists

That Thunder game is one of the most painful ways to lose you can have. Thunder up for with seconds on the clock and the Warriors get a meaningless tip-in with time expiring. Ouch.

I had nothing on Saturday as I didn’t think my system was doing the game justice. The Lakers in the tournament versus the rest of the season just didn’t add up. LeBron wanted it and convinced his team to want it too.

I think he saw that this will either be the first of many tournaments or a one-and-done, and either way, you want to be the one with your name on that trophy. You get very few chances in your NBA career to be the first. My mistake was thinking that maybe some other teams would have that type of foresight.

Another huge slate tonight. Three games and three props.

Indiana Pacers at Detroit Pistons Betting Tips:

Could this be a Vegas hangover for Indiana? I doubt it. Plus, even if they were doing keg stands at six in the morning today I still think they could beat the Pistons.

The Pistons haven’t won a game since their third of the season. This is their 23rd game of the season.

Detroit’s whole deal is a lack of offense and the Pacers are nothing but. That’s just not a match-up I see working out.

Pacers -7.5

Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks Betting Tips:

The Bulls are 1-1 with covers in both games against the Bucks, but I think that ends tonight.

They’ve had four days to rest after their elimination in the tournament and if reports are to be believed, that was a real wake-up call for this squad.

The Bucks defense has been much better at home and their offense is incredible. The Bulls offense is not incredible, and with Caruso listed as questionable tonight, their defense should be in big trouble.

Bucks -11.5

Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder Betting Tips:

Another big spread here, but the Jazz are just a mess right now and the Thunder are incredible.

Utah will be without Markkanen, Kessler, and Collins which leaves them with… not much.

The Thunder have a +7.2 Net Rating this season. The Jazz have a -8.6 Net Rating. It’s a big spread, but it’s really hard to picture the Jazz doing anything here.

Thunder -12.5

Player Props Betting Tips at 0.5 Units:

Joel Embiid Over 53.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists: In the two games against the Wizards this season, Embiid has scored 48+ points, grabbed 11+ rebounds, and dished 6+ assists. He’s currently listed as questionable, but if he plays he’s golden.

Julius Randle Over 36.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists: He’s topped this in four of his last five games, including a 20/10/9 game against the Raptors. Mitchell Robinson is out and Brunson is listed as questionable so there should be plenty of minutes and opportunity here.

RJ Barrett Over 17.5 Points: Barrett has scored 23 in back-to-back games and those opportunities should be there for him as well. He fell short with 15 in the last game against Toronto but he also took 18 shots and was 1/6 from three. One more three goes in and that was a cash. With more minutes and more opportunity tonight, he should get there.
