Oof – well just not a good day in the NBA yesterday if you followed all our picks.

The two road teams we backed to cover the spread didn’t, and the two home teams we backed to cover the spread? Also didn’t. Yikes – sorry about that folks. The Cavs one was a real frustrating one and despite LeBron putting up 30 points and 8 assists, you still got the impression he was doing too much.

It’s one of those bets in hindsight – slightly kicking ourselves. A lot of games that LeBron just hasn’t stepped up for and you have to wonder if he could have showed up for that. Blah.

Very annoying.

Oh well – onwards and upwards. December 26th, 2014 and it’s Boxing Day. That means we have a lot of soccer action today. The English Premier League kicks off with the early game of Chelsea vs West Ham. Then the usual round of games followed by the late game of Arsenal vs QPR.

Let’s have a much better day today. No official tips instead we’ll quickly go through some of the games and give our analysis of each one:

Chelsea vs West Ham: It’s hard to see West Ham getting a goal. Chelsea are ALWAYS a good team for your typical 1-0 or 2-0 result and Mourinho has no problem grinding it out. Any time you get better than 1/1 odds on Under 2.5 goals you have to take it. 6/5 i s the under – bet it.

Burnley vs Liverpool: Coming off their 2-2 draw against Arsenal, Pool are a great price away to Burnley. Burnley are a solid team when it comes to getting the draw at home, but we have to go with Liverpool to continue the little momentum they have, and get the win here. 4/5 is a nice price.

Crystal Palace vs Southampton: A few weeks ago this would be a banker. Southampton have fell off the track a bit lately but bounced back with that win over Everton. We think 23/20 on Soton to win, despite being away, is an excellent price.

Everton vs Stoke: After that reality check result against Southampton, we like Everton to get back on track. Despite their form, 17/20 is still a good price for a team they’re much better than.

Leicester vs Tottenham: Nice price on Spurs at 11/10 however it’s understandable – their away form has been poor.Leicester home wise have been awful though and you have to take Spurs here – more based on how bad Leicester have been at the moment than anything else.

That’s about it when it comes to the EPL Tips. Man City are probably good for HT/FT IF you believe they beat West Brom – that’s one where motivation is a big factor. Personally what we would recommend is waiting – if Chelsea drop 2 or even 3 points then boom, jump all over it as that’s the early game so they’ll know the result and be motivated. Man City-Man City are 7/5 which is a nice price.

Enjoy the Boxing Day fixtures, and hopefully you aren’t all too hungover from any Christmas party shenanigans.
