A 0-1 record last night.
We had the Warriors -9 against Portland, but they ended up losing in overtime 110-109. This game had a huge contribution from Curry, but not the one you’d expect. Little brother Seth Curry hit three 3-pointers in a row and finished with 11 points. The embarassing thing about this game to me is the Warriors finishing 6/15 from the free throw line. We’ve become so spoiled by this Warriors team over the past few years that we expect them to roll in these kind of games. They just aren’t that team right now.
We have a full slate of games on the schedule tonight, let’s take a look and see what we have.
Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Pelicans: Very nearly took the Pelicans at home here. They are a favorite at home against the Mavs, who have been pretty bad on the road this season. The Pelicans have lost five straight though and I am just not feeling them here.
Toronto Raptors vs. Orlando Magic Betting Tips:
After flirting with contention, the Magic are falling back down to Earth. They’ve lost four straight and seven of their past nine. The worst part about that run is that seven of those games saw them score 97 or less. That is just not doable in today’s NBA.
They play the Raptors today without Kyle Lowry, but I’m not too worried about that. Kawhi Leonard will be on the floor and the depth of this team is what has kept them atop the East this year. I see a big game for them and the Magic again failing to hit 100.
This line opened at -7 for the road team which is a lot, but has since been bet down to -5. That is a lot more doable for me and if you can get it at that number, take it.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Los Angeles Lakers Betting Tips:
It’s the battle of Los Angeles, but the Lakers will be without LeBron James for this one. That takes some of the luster out of it, but it should still be a good game. The Clippers have been one of the most surprising teams this season as they have really gotten contributions across the board from Tobias Harris to Montrezl Harrell to Lou Williams. They have really been pouring in the points lately as their last five games have seen them score 125 or more in each of them.
The Lakers without LeBron are definitely going to push the pace here. Luke Walton’s offense calls for fast play and they are equipped to do it with young stars like Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball. I’m not sure if they’ll have enough to win this one without LBJ, but I can definitely see them scoring big points.
