Last night, the Seahawks put up one of their strongest performances of the season in their win against the Vikings. A 17-0 third quarter put them ahead for good. This was the fifth straight win for the Seahawks and they are a perfect 6-0 at home. They are now tied for first place in the NFC West with the 49ers and tied with the 49ers and Saints for the best record in the NFC.
Football takes a break until Thursday now and we re-focus on basketball and hockey. There are some great games on the schedule tonight in both leagues, plus plenty of college basketball action to watch.
In hockey, the Capitals and Bruins are in action. They have been two of the best teams in the league this year. While in the NBA, the Lakers play the Nuggets in a tough road match-up and the Heat play the Raptors in my game of the night. Tonight should be another great night of sports.

NBA Betting Tips:
New Orleans Pelicans at Dallas Mavericks: The Mavericks have been one of my favorite stories of the young NBA season and Luka Doncic is climbing that list of my favorite players to watch.
They play New Orleans tonight who have struggled with injuries all year. They haven’t really had time to gel, but this is a team that I am looking towards the second half of the season as a team that is going to pull some upsets. For now, they are 6-14 and they are what they are.
Dallas is coming off a big win over the Lakers and I think they can keep it going here. Luka should have another big game here.
Miami Heat at Toronto Raptors: This is probably the game of the night and it should be a fun one. The Raptors have struggled a bit of late, but they are a perfect 9-0 at home and this is good spot to grab them to make it ten. The Heat are likely to be without Goran Dragic here which hurts them.
I think this will be a tight defensive game with a total of just 213. I was considering the under there, but I think I’ll just go with the Raps. They have been too good at home and they know that this is an important game for them.
NHL Betting Tips:
Carolina Hurricanes at Boston Bruins: The Bruins have been one of the best teams and, especially the best home teams in the NHL this season with an 11-0-4 record. They host the Hurricanes tonight and I think they are going to keep the train rolling. This team just keeps on winning and they have done a great job of protecting home ice.
You can get a pretty good price on them if you bet them to win in regulation which is what I think they’ll do here. They are a -155 favorite, but in regulation that number jumps to -105. That is a great price and I think they will pay it off.
