An 0-1 record last night.
Graeme took the Raptors over the Rockets in Toronto last night, but the Rockets were able to grab the win. This is going to end up being a rare game in this NBA season as the Rockets leading scored wasn’t James Harden or Russell Westbrook. Instead it was Ben McLemore who led the way with 28 points. Westbrook would add 19 points, 11 assists, and 13 rebounds. While Harden, the NBA’s leading scorer, had only 23 points.
The upset of the night had to be the Wizards beating the Sixers in DC. I only point this one out because this is the Sixers’ tenth straight loss in Washington. That’s an absolutely insane stat when you consider how good the Sixers have been over the past couple of seasons while the Wizards have been on a slow descent over that same time frame. Rui Hachimura led the way for Wizards as he had 27 points. Bradley Beal finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
A full slate for a Friday night, let’s get to the tips.
Denver Nuggets vs. Boston Celtics Betting Tips:
This is the third game in four nights for the Nuggets and the second half of a road back-to-back. Boston is 8-0 straight up at home this season and I think they will continue to dominate their home court here.
They are dealing with a few injuries, but they have managed to continue to play strong and I am believing in their defense. The total on this one is set at a minuscule 205 points so that leads me to believe it’s going to be a low scoring game and ultimately a close one with these two defenses. I believe the Celtics will protect the home court and beat up on a tired Nuggets team.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Milwaukee Bucks Betting Tips:
This is a real test of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s powers. Last season, he was the MVP but when he ran into Kawhi Leonard in the playoffs it was lights out for him and the Bucks. He’s made a lot of improvements this year and the Bucks are looking like a strong contender once again.
Milwaukee should defend the home court well here. Their crowd is going to be rocking for this one and I can see the team taking this is as sort of an Eastern Conference Finals rematch and looking to prove themselves here.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers Betting Tips:
The Lakers are a four-point favorite on the road here which seems fair, but also seems way out of the line. The Lakers are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA while the Blazers are one of the absolute worst.
There is a real size difference between these two teams and while I love Damian Lillard, I think he will have a real problem with some of the bigger guys on the Lakers guarding him. Remember Rajon Rondo and the Pelicans beating the Blazers in the playoffs? Yeah, like that. The Lakers are entering the toughest schedule period of their season and a win here is needed.
