The Broncos come into tonight’s game at Indianapolis as a -2.5 favorite. The Colts have been a pretty terrible team this year, but the question remains: should a 4-9 team without a quarterback ever be favored on the road? We’ll find out tonight (if we bother to watch).
Both of these teams played relatively well last week as the Broncos grabbed a big win over the Jets while the Colts lost in overtime to the Bills. The way things have gone for both of these teams, that week will be looked back upon fondly when all is said and done.
This should be a low scoring game as well as these are two of the worst offenses in the game. The Broncos still haven’t recovered from the retirement of Peyton Manning before last season while the Colts have struggled mightily without Andrew Luck. Both teams do have a solid defense though so this game should be low scoring.
NFL Betting Tips:
This game is going to be all about defense. The Colts had the close game last week, but that was also a game taking place in a snow globe. They have been one of the worst teams out there and the Broncos defense should shut them down rather easily.
Last week we saw the Broncos look like the old team against the Jets. Demaryius Thomas looked like the fantasy stud that we’ve seen in the past during last week’s game and he could have another good one here. The Colts defense isn’t exactly the best against the pass.
We’re taking the road favorite here and going with the Broncos -2.5.
NBA Betting Tips:
There are two national TV games tonight, starting with the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Los Angeles Lakers at home. The Lakers have been a fun team this season, but we’ve seen them show their true colors against the elite teams of the NBA. They simply aren’t on that same level and have a real hard time keeping up.
We expect LeBron James to feed on that tonight. He’s played some really inspired basketball tonight and we think he’ll bring his A-game in this one with Lonzo Ball and his “next big thing” hype on the other side of the court. The Cavs -10 are a great pick here.
The Warriors lost Steph Curry, but they haven’t missed a step. They are in the midst of a seven game win streak and seem to have become motivated by the loss of their teammate. This is simply the best team in the NBA and tonight they face a team that simply can’t hang with them.
Dallas has a unique collection of talent, but they just haven’t turned it into anything yet this season. Their -3.8 Net Rating is 25th out of 30 teams (the Warriors are first) and it’s hard to find any reason to go with them this evening.
This simply a mismatch and I have no problem laying the big points here. The Warriors -11.5 should dominate tonight.
