Well not too much football going on in the next few days due to Christmas. And while some leagues often appeal to me for jumping into the stats, I’m not really up for tipping the football going on in Egypt, Iran or Bolivia.
So for the next couple of days we’ll turn our attention to Boxing Day. As is standard, a lot of action taking place there especially in the UK.
I don’t foresee taking any days off over the holidays but it is definitely possible. We’ll just see how it goes.
For now let’s look at the English Championship games taking place on Boxing Day.
Wigan vs Derby Betting Tips:
Amazing what a disaster Derby are at the moment. It’s like they are playing the waiting game for Wayne Rooney to be eligible to play. They have slipped to 17th in the league as they take on bottom club Wigan here.
Derby have just 6 points from 11 games on the road and can’t score to save themselves. They’ll be hoping to at least get some easy points against bottom club Wigan, but I am not too sure.
Wigan have started to get going and have managed to score at least one goal in their last 6 games. They’ve scored goals against decent enough defences and I think they can get on the scoresheet here.
I am not so sure about Derby. Their offense has just taken a break right now it seems.
I’m actually writing this prior to Wigan vs Blackburn. Forgot that game was taking place ha. That’s going to be a tough one for Wigan and they may regress if they lose.
However I do think it’s a decent opportunity for Wigan to get a win and I’ve analyzed it enough here that even with the Blackburn game, we’ll go with it. Minimal unit though due to that mistake on my part.

Middlesbrough vs Huddersfield Betting Tips:
Boro come into this one on the back of some very solid home performances. It’s a big game in the relegation battle with just 1 point separating the two teams who hover just above the relegation zone.
Neither team is too good offensively with Boro scoring less than a goal a game and Huddersfield not so much better. Huddersfield however have an incredible record of scoring on the road as they have scored in every away match so far this season. Crazy.
It should be a competitive game. Huddersfield come in on the back of a three game unbeaten streak with some solid results and Boro have been doing decent but conceding a bit lately.
I like both teams to get on the scoresheet here.
