I decided to cover more of the English Championship games taking place on January 28th today.
I’ve already written up one betting tips post. In that I covered Luton vs Derby and Hull vs Huddersfield.
Today I will look at a couple of other games taking place as we look to end the month on a nice little winning run.
Let’s get to it:
Leeds vs Millwall Betting Tips:
This is quite an interesting clash as Leeds have had a drastic drop in form lately.
They have dropped to 2nd place in the English Championship with a lot of teams right behind them. They have just ONE win in their last 7 games and that was that crazy 5-4 win over Birmingham.
Oh Leeds. What is happening to you?
They now take on Millwall who have been putting in some phenomenal performances lately. They have a bad overall away record but it is impressive lately as they have moved into the top half of the table.
They currently sit in 8th and it’s not like it is just the schedule – they have had some solid wins over the likes of Brentford and Bristol City.
I think there HAS to be value in backing against Leeds here. They are going to be without Kalvin Philips although we may see Poveda debut.
Gary Rowett has Millwall performing extremely well. If Leeds are able to pull it out and get back to their winning ways? So be it, props to them etc. However the price is too good for me to ignore here.

Wigan vs Sheff Wed Betting Tips:
The bookies expect this to be a low scoring affair with a high line set for over 2.5. While I can definitely see why, looking at the xG numbers I think this one has the potential to go over 2.5 goals.
A crucial clash for both teams. Wigan find themselves 2nd bottom of the league and drifting further away from safety. Sheff Wed looked like they had turned things around after a three game losing streak with a win at Leeds but then got blown out by Blackburn 5-0 at home. Brutal one that. They are now in 10th in the Championship and out of promotional playoff spot.
They won’t be satisfied with just a draw here. They’ll be looking for the win while Wigan will be up for grabbing at least a point. Despite recent losses they have been competitive. Now I should note that only 31% of Wigan games have went over 2.5. Despite their xG situation they have the worst goalscoring
I think this one will surprise us with goals.
