Today I will cover all five games taking place on Saturday, December 4th in the English Premier League, as well as giving some EPL daily fantasy advice.
It was 0-2 yesterday unfortunately in the EPL, with BTTS not coming in in the Tottenham vs Brentford game, and Man Utd being able to sneak the win in what was a banger of a game.
Hopefully you backed the Spurs defense and goalie in daily fantasy, as they were the only ones to put up a clean sheet yesterday. Harry Kane was a disappointment though.
I should also note that at the moment, I’m only covering the English Premier League on here. Once the NFL season ends I’ll have more time and will commit to more leagues. However I advise checking out footballbettingtips.org.uk if you’re looking for tips beyond just the EPL.
They cover the lower English leagues as well, and do a solid job of it with some good analysis.
Right – onto this weeks EPL. Daily fantasy wise, it’s pretty brutal honest. A lot of the games could go either way. I’d pick two teams out of the 3pm slate and just go strong on them. I think I’m going to focus on Newcastle and Southampton, with maybe one high value Liverpool player.
West Ham vs Chelsea:
This is a very intriguing matchup. West Ham are fourth in the league and performing well. But I mean Chelsea are doing just a phenomenal job right now. The wheels have came off the bus a bit at West Ham as well lately.
Chelsea were very unlucky last week against Man U but got that win over Watford. Tuchel was not impressed and said they were lucky in that one. I think he is going to ride them hard here. The odds are very tight, but I think with West Ham’s recent results, we can back Chelsea to win at 1.78. Very disappointed they blew the spot against Brighton.
Newcastle vs Burnley:
Newcastle slight favourites here. You can really feel some good team chemistry clicking in there. Thought they were unlucky against Norwich. Burnley are a tough matchup and a draw machine.
I just feel like this is a tide turning match for Newcastle. All data points to the draw as a good value play, but I am going with Newcastle to win at 2.35 odds.
Southampton vs Brighton:
Another game where the draw seems the most likely, with Brighton another draw machine. Southampton have 4 draws at home, Brighton 4 draws away.
Brighton pulling that point a man down against West Ham would be a good confidence boost. My gut says that Southampton pull this one out but I’m going to skip it altogether.
Wolves vs Liverpool:
A tricky little matchup for Liverpool but we know what a goal machine they can be. Wolves however have the joint third best defensive record in the league. Their problem is they just can’t score.
I feel like this one on paper is like a 1-0 tight Liverpool win. I think the odds are fine to roll the dice on a shutout. Liverpool win to nil at 2.37 odds.
Watford vs Man City:
Man City have been solid but unspectacular lately. They’ll be looking to beat a Watford team who have had a brutal schedule lately. They’ve had some solid results like the 2-1 tight loss to Chelsea , but Liverpool also exposed them 5-0.
Feels like a City win obviously – but based on their most recent away game results I can’t back the handicap. No bet on this one.
