A 1-1 draw for a slight profit in the EPL on Monday which was nice to get. Felt I was struggling a little bit with the EPL over the weekend so good to get a profit.
The loss was with Chelsea -1. I was concerned with Chelsea conceding goals on the road and that’s what happened there. Palace had struggled to score goals but both Zaha and Benteke got on the scoresheet as they lost 3-2. As it was the handicap bet, Chelsea didn’t cover.
I won with Arsenal vs Leicester draw at 3.60 odds. Always tough to back a draw but feels good when it comes in. Leicester left it late but after Arsenal got down to 10 men, Vardy was able to get the equalizer.
Watford won which is what I was leaning towards however didn’t have enough faith in them so good to see they won regardless.
There are three EPL games taking place on July 9th and I will run through all of them:
EPL Betting Tips for July 9th, 2020:
Bournemouth vs Tottenham: Man surely Spurs don’t muck this one up. Bournemouth are on a brutal run of form at the moment and are looking like they are going to get relegated unless they start stringing something together.
Spurs will likely not have Dele Alli for this game. Looking at the advanced metrics though Bournemouth are at least creating the chances lately and are able to generally convert them. Spurs have a decent xGA since the return however I do think Bournemouth, who really need to give it their all, have a good chance of getting the ball in the back of the net. 1u on Both Teams to Score at 1.80 odds.
Everton vs Southampton: It was a disappointing outing for Everton against Spurs. Now they take on Southampton who just slayed Man city. I’m still very surprised by that Everton game as they just looked so weak and toothless. They have had very low xG as it is but that one was the pinnacle. This seems like the type of game where one goal is all it will take. I’m good to back a quiet affair. 1u on Under 2.5 Goals at 1.90 odds.
Aston Villa vs Manchester United: I mean what is there really to say here? Villa are absolutely horrible and Man Utd are killing it. With Watfords win Villa are looking even more likely to go down.
I see no reason not to back the handicap here. I mean United are looking excellent. It’s football and anything can happen and complacency can set in. I should note Villa do keep things generally tight when they lose however I’m going to do 2u on Man Utd -1 at 1.90 odds as they have did a solid job at covering since the return and even prior to the pandemic break.
