A 1-1 day in the EPL for a profit.

Profited thanks to Norwich vs Southampton. We had over 2.5 goals in that one and that one came in with a 3-0 Southampton win. Extremely dominant performance from Southampton and that will be something to look for going forward. I wonder if they are actually going to try and push for a European spot. Hopefully. Love seeing a motivated team.

Lost with the Spurs vs Man Utd game not going over 2.5 goals. Pity that as the game opened up early with a goal.

If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check out Roy Keanes rant about the De Gea goal. Amazing. Keane has to be the scariest person in football.

There are 4 EPL games taking place on Saturday and I figure I’ll look through all 4 from a more casual perspective and see about bets. Always good not to get too serious after the break as you never know about team motivation etc.

EPL Bets for June 20th, 2020:

Watford vs Leicester: Leicester had a poor run pre-break before ending it with a 4-0 win over Villa. Watford of course had that massive 3-0 Liverpool win. Man that feels like 50 years ago.

Watford are deep in the relegation battle. Leicester are 3rd in the EPL. I really see no reason not to back Leicester here. They’re clearly the better team and I think will be feeling the more fresh team here. Home/away hasn’t really been a factor which gives us a good price. 3u on Leicester to win at 2.05 odds.

Brighton vs Arsenal: Arsenal have already played one game and they got thumped by Man City. They have been given a boost with David Luiz suspended obviously. Have to wonder if Arsenal will feel fatigue at all from having played recently. However I think Arsenal will take this one. I actually think we’ll see a weak first half then goals in the second half. 1u on Arsenal to win at 2.45 odds.

West Ham vs Wolves: Wolves have been fairly impressive in the EPL this year. West Ham have been poor. Wolves are battling for a European spot and West Ham are simply battling against relegation.

Wolves are draw specialists which is always a bit concerning but I’ll back them here as I think again we’re getting a great price considering the abilities of both teams this season. 1u on Wolves at 2.05 odds.

Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace: Palace just had a 3 game winning streak going into the break. Bournemouth were struggling. Palace are mid-table and I have to wonder if we’ll see a motivated performance from them similar to Southampton. Bournemouth are one of those teams who have probably been given a lifeline due to the pandemic as they had some serious issues.
