I swear I don’t think there is a worse team to back than Arsenal and I feel sorry for all their supporters. Year after year just such frustration levels involving that team.
They scored against Brighton to go up 1-0 then it was like welp that’s it game over. Brighton forced their way back into the match and won.
I’m more kicking myself as I literally said “we’ll see a weak first half then goals in the second half.” yet didn’t actually back that. Ticked at myself for that one.
Leicester was our big loss of the day. What an absolutely dire game that was too. Props to everyone who stuck with it as it was worth it at the end with two absolute bangers.
Wovlves got us a win at least, as did Crystal Palace. It was a 2-2 day alas a losing day due to the unit sizing on Leicester.
Three EPL games taking place and I will run down all three of them here:
EPL Bets for June 21st, 2020:
Newcastle vs Sheff Utd: Pre-pandemic Newcastle weren’t performing too badly with a draw against Burnley and a win over Southampton. Sheff Utd were doing very well and I believe they were becoming a team I was backing with some consistency. Newcastle are likely safe from the drop while Sheff Utd are battling for a European spot.
Sheff Utd were hard done by in the Villa game. In saying that their xG was extremely low regardless with 0.24. They do have a tight defense and with Newcastle having the joint worst offense in the league this could be a quiet affair.
This is one where I feel quite wary honestly so I am going to do a small bet of 0.5u on Both Teams to Score = No. 1.70 odds for that. Just something about this game where I feel like what is expected won’t happen.
Aston Villa vs Chelsea: Chelsea have been a bit erratic this season but Villa have been dreadful. Chelsea despite that are 4th in the league and heavy favourites here over 2nd placed Aston Villa. I’ve enjoyed backing goals in Chelsea matches and I see the same here. Odds aren’t great but we’ll go with 0.5u on over 3.5 goals at 2.45 odds.
Everton vs Liverpool: Liverpool no surprise are heavy favourites here. Before the break Everton weren’t doing too bad however. They are missing Mina and Walcott and it’s been awhile since they beat Liverpool. Just another small bet of Liverpool to win to nil. 0.5u at 2.75 odds.
Nothing major standing out today but I did want to have something on each game as I find that always allows me to focus a bit more and look at it more from an analytical perspective.
