We’ll cover the English Premier League action taking place on December 14th here.
It all opens with Liverpool versus Watford. Top versus bottom. Watford are 18/1 there. Would be amazing if they pulled it off. Let’s hope they can at least make a game of it. Their ability to draw a lot of games is pretty decent, and they’re better than their league position. I’d like to make a cheeky wee bet on the draw, but 7/1 is probably not enough for that.
I’d like to take BTTS in that game with the way Liverpool are but it’s hard to back on Watford to score the way they have been playing offensively lately.
Some good action taking place though. Let’s do a few betting tips for the games:
Southampton vs West Ham Betting Tips:
It just seems inevitable at West Ham doesn’t it? The writing is on the wall. Manuel Pellegrini better be sprucing up his resume on Linked In.
Southampton have turned things around a good bit since that loss to Leicester. At home they are particularly churning along with solid wins over Norwich and Watford. They also had that away draw to Arsenal in there too.
Danny Ings is lethal right now – he’s that kind of striker I love in form like this. Someone you just feel you can count on. Get him the ball in the right spot and he is going to put it in the net every time.
Most people feel like this is D-Day for Pellegrini but this team just doesn’t look like they have it in them to perform for him.
I like Southampton to move ahead of West Ham in the league here with a win. I think they’ll bounce back after that Newcastle loss.

Sheffield United vs Aston Villa Betting Tips:
At 1.85 odds, I see no reason not to take Sheff Utd here.
They’re performing pretty danr well at the moment. Yeah they are struggling a bit to wrap up games and drawing quite a few times but that was against tough opposition. If you omit that 2-0 loss at home to Newcastle, they are actually playing extremely well.
This is the team that thumped Burnley 3-0 and Arsenal 1-0 at home. Aston Villa? I think the best compliment you can give them is they are inconsistent. They have been terrible away.
Sheff Utd have one of the best defenses in the league. Their xGA is pretty on point suggesting that they aren’t overperforming or anything like that. Especially at home. That’s a very good sign.
Tyrone Mings is of course out for Villa and that will hurt. Sheff Utd are a team with a lot of confidence and I would be quite surprised if Villa get anything out of this match.
