Man – it is quite bleak looking at the games post New Years Day.
Tips are going to be interesting the next little while. Quite a few leagues that I am probably going to have to tackle that I don’t know too much about or haven’t paid attention to much this season.
Honestly not complaining too much about that. I always enjoy diving into a league I’m not fully up on and getting lost on the stats, then just going with completely stats based picks. I love that – especially when the tips end up winning. Makes me feel like a boss ha.
For now however we’ll look at the English Premier League games taking place on New Years Day.
Let’s get to it – then nice and early to bed so I can get up tomorrow and watch the matches.
Man City vs Everton Betting Tips:
Like many games involving Man City when we look at Both Teams to Score, it’s primarily based on betting if their opposition will score or not.
My bet is yes.
Everton have had a solid record at scoring recently. They weren’t too great early on but have turned it around a lot lately. They’ve scored in 6 of their last 7 games including against Liverpool and Leicester. Both of those were away.
With the new manager in charge they are wanting to show a lot of fight and they got that win over Newcastle. They’ve managed to go 5 games in a row now without a loss including two impressive away results with a win at Newcastle and a draw at Man Utd.
I’ve got to think they are able to score here. City aren’t too shabby defensively and 40% of their home matches have been clean sheets however I think they concede here. Evreton will be up for this one and should be able to get the chances.
Still the odds have dropped since I fancied this one so we’ll go with a low bet.

Brighton vs Chelsea Betting Tips:
Chelsea are really struggling at the moment. Just 3 wins in their last 8 matches. Not the best form. The rest are losses. Interestingly they come into this one on the back of two away wins to Arsenal and Tottenham. They’ll be up for making it 3 in a row and they actually have won 7 out of 10 away. They have the 2nd best away form in the league so they’ll be up for it.
They are showing some real defensive frailties though and I like Brighton to take advantage. brighton aren’t too shabby at home although they have had some recent struggles. However most of Chelseas away games are high scoring and I like that to continue.
