Look at that – we’ve got actual midweek league football taking place.
For Tuesday we’ve got a whole host of EPL games to pick from. There are a few on Wednesday too. And hell even a rare Thursday game featuring Wolves vs The Invincibles.
So that’s good. EPL can keep me busy the next two days. Then there is a few games on Friday I’ve got my eye on. Then we can start with the weekend tips and hopefully fare better than last weekend.
Let’s jump right into the EPL games taking place on January 20th, 2020:
Aston Villa vs Watford Betting Tips:
A big battle in the relegation zone between these two with Watford now in 17th and 1 point above Villa, who are in 18th.
Watford come into this on the back of some stellar performances. A 6 game unbeaten run. Dominating victories over Villa, Bournemouth and Man Utd. A draw with Spurs. Just playing very well.
Villa are playing poorly. They are inconsistent at best at the moment. Their home record actually isn’t too shabby with a 4-2-5 record.
They were very close to losing against Brighton but Grealish was able to tie it up with 15 minutes left in that one.
If Villa are able to battle and pull a draw out of this one then so be it. But Watford are playing excellent football at the moment. While their away form overall has been poor, a draw with Sheff Utd and a win over Bournemouth is impressive.

Crystal Palace vs Southampton Betting Tips:
Palace have racked up 4 draws in their last 4 games.
They have did a great job at staying in the Top 10 with their performances and they have got draws against Man City and Arsenal.
They’re not great but at home they are a solid team with 4-4-3 record.
Southampton had a huge burst of form that ended 3-2 at Wolves. That was the one where we backed Soton and they were up 2-0 and lost it. Brutal.
That will motivate Palace no doubt knowing if they are down, Southampton can slip up.
Southampton come into this with a solid recent away record. Wins over Leicester, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
I’ve got to think Southampton use this to get back on track and I think they can win. However while that is tempting, I can’t ignore Palace and their draws and their ability to score goals lately. They’ve been great at scoring recently even though their overall goal scoring ratio is low. It’s a bit concerning that but I’ve got to back their offense who are able to find the goals right now. Southampton don’t have the best defensive record away either.
