The international break is over – thank fack for that – and we’re back to regular weekend football.
A lot of good EPL action this weekend. Man Utd take on Liverpool and Man Utd are 5.25 underdogs. At home. Can’t remember the last time I’ve seen that.
Watford will be happy with the break as they will hope to readjust and look to get their first win. An away task at Tottenham is a daunting one but Spurs are beatable this season as we have seen.
Crystal Palace are in the top 6 but not expected to last there with a game against Man City. Leicester meanwhile will be hoping to get a win over 7th place Burnley in what should be an interesting game, to stay among the Top 4. Chelsea host Newcastle in what SHOULD be a walk in the park but you just never know.
Always interesting seeing how teams bounce back from the international break. We’ll just do a couple of small plays:
Everton vs West Ham Betting Tips:
I think this game is absolutely RIPE for this Everton team to get back on track against an overperforming West Ham team.
Everton are on a 4 game losing streak where they are struggling for goals. However they’re still getting the chances and I think will eventually break through.
West Ham prior to the break just had a great unbeaten streak ended. They had went 6 games undefeated. In saying that their wins were over the worst teams in the EPL (Norwich, Watford and of course Man Utd). That’s a bad time to see a streak ending.
They’re undefeated away with 1 win and 3 draws.
My only concern is Marco Silva and whether he has lost the dressing room. Word in the media is he has only a few games to prove he has what it takes. Will the dressing room play for him? Seamus Coleman is out after that sending off against Burnley.
If the team is willing to play for Silva, I think they can take this game.

Chelsea vs Newcastle Betting Tips:
Newcastle are coming off that big win over Man Utd but I mean it’s Man Utd. Don’t forget that game against Leicester where they just collapses.
Chelsea offensively have looked very hot this season. They’re 2nd behind Liverpool in the xG charts and play a very offensive game.
Lampard has the side playing well and I think they will continue to do that. You know how in Football Manager where you have to build up team cohesion? That’s the type of thing I have been seeing at Chelsea and I hope that break didn’t affect that.
I think Newcastle are going to get thumped here. They give up a lot of chances and I think Chelsea take them with ease.
