This week we will see the Euro 2020 qualifying playoffs take place. They will be one off matches and each one is a semi-final with the winners of both games squaring off in November.
So for example “Path C” has Scotland vs Israel and Norway vs Serbia. The winners of both matches will face off in the final on November 12th, with the winner moving on to Euro 2020.
Which is of course Euro 2021 these days.
There’s 8 games taking place so I might as well run through all 8 and see what bets there are if any to be made.
Euro 2020 Qualifying Playoffs Betting Tips:
Georgia vs Belarus:
Georgia finished 4th in Group D wth a 2-2-4 record. Belarus were horrible in Group C with a 1-1-6 record. UEFA Nations League got them here though and they looked good in that.
This is a tight one but based on more recent results I’m going to do 1u on Georgia to win at 2.20 odds.
Bosnia vs Northern Ireland:
Northern Ireland are big underdogs in this one. They were competitive in Euro 2020 qualifying as were Bosnia. Bosnia also had a player and coach test positive for COVID-19.
Northern Ireland looked poor against Norway and will be hoping to bounce back. I’m hoping for a competitive game despite the odds and will go with 1u on Both Teams to Score at 2.00 odds. Bit concerned about Northern Irelands ability to score but I think they can do it.
Bulgaria vs Hungary:
Bulgaria were 1-3-4 in qualifying although they had a tough group. Hungary won 4 and lost 4 with no draws.
Hungary are 2.10 favourites here. Honestly just based on the qualifiers I’d rank Hungary as a much better team than Bulgaria and I think they have a great chance here. 1u on Hungary to win at 2.10.
Iceland vs Romania:
Iceland were excellent in Group H and very unlucky not to qualify. Romania were average in Group F and they conceded a decent amount of goals.
Bookies have this one quite close. I could see this one going the full 90 minutes. Romania looked good in the Nations League so far but are missing Chiriches. I’ll do 0.5u on the draw at 3.20 odds.
Macedonia vs Kosovo:
Macedonia finished 3rd in Group G and were generally solid. Kosovo however finished 3rd in a more difficult Group A. Kosovo have been a fun club to watch since being in UEFA and have risen up the rankings.
Macedonia are missing a couple of players due to COVID. Kosovo are missing Miriqi which is though though. No bet for this one.
Norway vs Serbia:
Both teams are vying to be the team that batters Scotland in the next round. This is another one where I see it really close and will go with 0.5u on the draw at 3.10.
Scotland vs Israel:
They’ll probably disappoint me but Scotland should take this. Due to COVID outbreak in Scotland though I can’t bet them.
