This Friday, September 6th the Euro 2020 qualifiers continue with some big games taking place.
The one I am most focused on is Scotland vs Russia of course. There are a lot of games with closer odds this time around too which is nice. Thursday has way too many games with teams that are heavily favoured.
At least on Friday we’ve got about 5 games that are practically coinflips, then another couple where the outcome is expected but still not too strongly favoured.
Here’s what I’m backing on Friday:
Scotland vs Russia Betting Tips:
I hope I am wrong but I have to back the Russians here.
Scotland just haven’t shown me anything so far in the qualification stages. That thumping from Kazakhstan then barely beating the likes of San Marino and Cyprus. We just don’t have what it takes offensively and we don’t approach the better teams well like Belgium.
Russia lost to Belgium 3-1 away but since then they have racked up 3 clean sheets and some big wins including 4-0 over Kazakhstan and 9-0 over San Marino. It was a tight 1-0 win over Cyprus.
Russia know they have to start making ground on Belgium and I just don’t think Hampden is as intimidating as it should be.
Scotland do at least look a bit more energetic under Clarke. If Scotland play at a high tempo it may be a good challenge for the Russia team who have some older players out there.
The draw seems the most appealing but I honestly think we blow it.

Germany vs Netherlands Betting Tips:
These two teams played back in March and it was a tight one. Germany won 3-2 with a 90th minute goal fron Nico Schultz.
They have recent history in the UEFA Nations League too where Netherlands were able to beat Germany 3-0 at home and then draw 2-2 in Germany.
Since all that Germany have looked impressive however. That 2-2 draw was due to 2 late goals by Holland as well.
I just feel Germany are the superior team and with this their biggest remaining test of the group stage, handle it fairly comfortably.

Slovenia vs Poland Betting Tips:
Slovenia had a miserable time in the UEFA Nations League, finishing bottom of Group 3. Their Euro 2020 qualification isn’t going much better with draws against Israel and Macedonia and a loss to Austria.
Poland also struggled in the Nations League however it was a tougher group for them. They have more than made up for it in the Euro 2020 qualification stages with 4 wins and 4 clean sheets.
A lot of people write Poland off as just Robert Lewandowski however many of their goals in the campaign have came from other sources. Krzysztof Pi?tek has been responsible for a couple and with Milik out he will step up again.
Slovenia haven’t conceded many but I think Poland have what it takes to take this one. Having that 100% record is good and I think that will spur them on for the win, as opposed to being happy with the point.
