Over the next few days, I am going to go group by group and cover one of my favourite bets which is Top Team Goalscorer.
This is a betting prop I started doing back on Euro 2012.
I still have such fond memories of that one, and tipping Alan Dzagoev to be the Russia top goalscorer at 8/1 odds. He scored twice in the first Russia game and then added another against Poland and that was good enough for the win. I always felt like a right boss after that one.
Since then it’s become a favourite one to analyze.
I’m going to do it on a Group by Group basis. So each day I will pick the top team goalscorer for each Group.

Top Italy Team Goalscorer Betting Tips:
The favourite to be Top Team Goalscorer is Ciro Immobile. That gives me bad flashbacks and I refuse to pick him. I picked him at the World Cup 2014 and felt so good about it and he legitimately didn’t even play. Never again.
If we look at qualification, Belotti was the best scorer. Jorginho is their penalty taker so that’s an interesting one at 29.00 odds. Alas he really doesn’t score much out of pens.
Beradi is an interesting one at 12.00 odds. It is possible that Belotti may not start. That’s an issue for sure. I am going to keep it small with this one and do 1u on Belotti due to the possibility of him not starting.

Top Switzerland Team Goalscorer Betting Tips:
Switzerland scored 19 goals in 8 qualification games. Cedric Itten scored 3 of those and was their top scorer. He was snubbed for this tournament unfortunately.
The favourite is Haris Seferovic followed by Gavranovic then behind them is Shaqiri. Honestly the Switzerland goals are all over the place.
With a team so erratic in terms of goalscoring, I’m happy to bet 1u on Shaqiri to be top goalscorer.

Top Turkey Team Goalscorer Betting Tips:
A super tough defensive team with just 3 goals conceded in qualification; they scored 18 in 10. 5 of those were down to Cenk Tosun. He is injured and out of it.
It’s a tough loss, and goals are all over the place from Turkey in World Cup Qualifiers etc. No real consistency at all. Yilmaz, their penalty taker, is the favourite which isn’t a surprise.
Yilmaz is geting up there in age though and you have to wonder how he will handle all the games. Plus that hat trick against Holland boosted his stats somewhat.
Outside pick of 2u on Hakan Calhanoglu.

Top Wales Team Goalscorer Betting Tips:
Just 10 goals in 8 games for Wales in qualification. Bale is the favourite but in qualifiers, Moore and Ramsey both scored the same amount.
Bale did a great job in Euro 2016 of course. But so did the others. Basically I understand why Bale is top, and you feel he has something to prove, but this one makes me feel there is value on the others when I analyze Wales.
The question is who to pick. The next three favourites – Wilson, Moore and Ramsey, all are interesting ones.
The big question is if they do lone striker who do they start – Harry Wilson or Kieffer Moore. That’s where it is quite tough to call.
My suggestion would be to wait until closer to Wales first match and see who is going to play for them up front in the first game, then just bet that one.
If you want to bet in advance, I’d go with 1u on Harry Wilson.
