With the good news that the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix has just seen a 4 year extension through 2021, we enter Singapore on a bright note this week for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
This century, the Singapore Grand Prix returned to the schedule in 2008. Alonso won it there. However in recent times it’s been Sebastian Vettels race to lose.
Vettel has won the Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay 4 times. He won it in 2011, 2012, 2013 and then again in 2015.
Lewis Hamilton has two wins here.
So it’s no surprise that Vettel is the favourite to win this race. It’s going to be a very interesting one as it’s the complete polar opposite of the last two races. It’s a chassis dependent street circuit and always makes for a fun race to watch.
Let’s get on with the F1 Singapore Grand Prix Betting Tips:
F1 Singapore Grand Prix Winner:
I’ve just got to go with Sebastian Vettel here who is the favourite. Despite being the favourite his odds are actually very appealing. I know the odds of Hamilton at 4/1 are great too though so I wouldn’t hate you if you went for that as a value bet.
But 13/8 for Vettel is fine for me. It’s jumped up from the 11/8 it opened at. It’s just tough to look past both Vettel and his skills here, and Ferrari and their record on this type of circuit this year.
F1 Singapore Points Finish:
I like the value in Vandoorne to get a points finish. While Stoffel is improving and the car should be good enough to get in the points, I think Fernando will be slightly ahead of him. Solid odds on Vandoorne for the points finish.
Long Shot Bet:
The weekly long shot bet and I’m going with Kimi to get the fastest lap. He’ll have to follow Vettel home regardless and the drivers are starting to turn the fastest lap prize into a competition if its own. This one could well be decided by the last one to pit but I think Kimi reperesents great value at 15/1 odds.
