A tough night for revenge stories last night. The ESPN-televised game between Blake Griffin’s new team and his old team saw his old team grab the road win. The Pistons absolutely collapsed in the fourth quarter as they only managed 15 points while allowing 31 to the Clippers. They simply stopped moving the ball in that final quarter and paid for it dearly.

In a more surprising revenge game result, we saw Jimmy Butler’s Wolves lost to the Bulls. Sometimes in games like this we forget that is a revenge game for the other side as well. Zach LaVine had an awesome game, scoring 35 points in his revenge against the Wolves.

I have to kick myself a bit as it came down to tipping this game or the Cavaliers game, but I was worried about player availability in that one. That didn’t turn out to matter as LeBron James put up an insane triple double and Kyle Korver dropped 30. Sometimes those games really inspire teams.

We managed to split our other two games. A tough night, but tonight is looking better already. Let’s get right into the tips.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Orlando Magic Betting Tips:

The Bucks have been a tough pick for us this year, but this match-up feels like a great chance to grab them. They have an excellent record on back-to-backs at 8-3 and are 14-6 against teams with a losing record this season. They had a truly rough night against Miami last night as they only managed 85 points. They should come into this one angry and ready to do a number on this team.

Orlando shouldn’t have much of a choice, but to let them either. They are still without Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon. They have a weird roster right now and have one of the four worst Defensive Ratings in all of basketball.

The Bucks will score a lot more than 85 tonight. Except a big game from Giannis Antetokounmpo and a Bucks -5 cover.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks Betting Tips:

The Lakers are on a nice little run here as of late, having won four straight. Brandon Ingram is looking like a real potential star and the trade of Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson has opened up more playing time on the roster. Josh Hart is looking like a real player and Julius Randle continues to improve. It’s hard not to like the baby Lakers right now.

They’ll face the Mavericks on the road tonight who are in a real tough place right now. They’ve lost seven of their past eight games and are just 2-10 over their past 12 games. This seems to be a lost season and likely the last of Dirk Nowitzki. It’s sad to see it end this way, but that’s the NBA for you.

We have to go with the Lakers +2.5 here tonight. I can see why the Mavs are favored, but I still don’t think they should be. The Lakers have more talent, more athleticism and are playing much better right now. The Lakers don’t have their pick this year so they have no motivation to tank. They are going to play hard for the rest of the season.
