We have more UEFA Champions League action on Wednesday, February 20th with the first rounds of the final knockout stage games.
After these two games we return to the Champions League on March 5th with Real Madrid vs Ajax and Dortmund vs Spurs in second legs there.
Today we have Atletico Madrid hosting Juventus, and Schalke hosting Manchester City.
Let’s get to the betting tips:
Atletico Madrid vs Juventus Betting Tips:
Atletico Madrid came joint first in Group A of the Champions league, although finished second due to tiebreakers. They had a 4-1-1 record with a perfect home record including an impressive 2-0 win over Dortmund. They really breezed through the group stage and looked solid in doing so. Domestically they are in 2nd place, 7 points behind Barcelona. They just had a couple of tough losses against Betis and Real Madrid but bounced back with a 1-0 win over 2nd bottom Rayo Vallecano going into this one.
Juventus won Group H but had their troubles. They lost to Manchester United at home with two late goals by Utd and then lost to Young Boys when it didn’t really matter. Domestically they are walking away with Serie A.
This is a very intriguing game with two absolutely quality teams. Really looking forward to this one. The odds make it a bit tricky for a bet but I think Juventus provide some decent value despite Madrids home performances in the Champions League.

Schalke vs Manchester City Betting Tips:
Schalke came 2nd in Group D although it wasn’t really a competitive group with both Galatasaray and Lokomotiv Moscow looking poor. Schalke did get a draw at home to group winners Porto. They are currently struggling domestically big time however.
Manchester City won Group F with a 4-1-1 record. They did lose 2-1 at home to Lyon to open it and then drew 2-2 with Lyon as well as they couldn’t beat the other good team in the group.
Domestically they’re playing well and are coming off that thumping of Chelsea.
they are heavily favoured in this one unfortunately at 1.28 odds. Deservedly so.
Honestly the Champions League can be a funny thing and you just never know. Do I think City absolutely destroy them? Yes more than likely. But Schalke at home will be playing their hearts out, and I just feel at this stage of the Champions League no team should be such a heavy favourite away.
