A 2-0 record last night.
We had the Pacers on the road at Washington and they covered easily. They built a big first half lead and were able to hang on for the winner. We mentioned Bojan Bogdanovic in the preview and he came up with 18 points in this one. Domantas Sabonis off the bench had 13 points and 12 rebounds in only 27 minutes. For Washington, it was the Bradley Beal show as he finished with 35 points and the rest of the starters combined for 31.
Our best pick of the night had to be the Detroit Pistons. They were actually a slight underdog last night and ended up winning by 23. After a 20-29 first quarter, they outscored Miami 99-67 the rest of the way. Six players in double figures for the Pistons led by Ish Smith’s 22 off the bench.
A nice night in the NBA and let’s keep it going today. Only three games on the slate, but we do have two picks today. The Raptors and Magic are playing early and I just don’t feel good about that one either way. The other two games I like though, so let’s get into them.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets Betting Tips:
The Nuggets are finally getting healthy and I think this is one of the most dangerous teams in the league going forward. This home court advantage is monstrous and adding Isaiah Thomas to Gary Harris, Malik Beasley and Monte Morris makes them extremely dangerous out of the backcourt.
I’ve liked the Clippers a lot this season, but without Tobias Harris and with Wilson Chandler on the injured list I just see them struggling to score against good teams like Denver. Playing on the road at this elevation is hell for teams and I expect that to be the case today for the Clips.

San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks Betting Tips:
The same rules that I said on Friday apply to the Knicks here: they stink. This team is 1-19 over their past twenty games and has zero motivation to win any games. They’ve traded or released all of their best players and are possibly the most shamelessly tanking team in this league right now. The funny thing about that? They get mad when the media says that. Give me a break.
The Spurs are the Spurs. The talent they have is not what it used to be, but this is still a well-oiled machine that wins the games that they should and beats up on those who are less than them. LaMarcus Aldridge is listed as probable and I don’t see anyone on this New York squad that could hope to stop him. Especially with DeAndre Jordan listed as doubtful. I can see Aldridge having a big game here and the Spurs rolling.
